[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my weed eater a few years ago and ran out. Wasn’t sure how the lifetime spools worked, but went online and no problems. Came in a few weeks just in time to do the work.

very limited usefullness

I purchased my second trimmer / edger a year ago. My first had a 40v charger and one battery but the new one came with a 20v charger and 2, 20 watt batteries. The 20 watt battery's will hold a charge for about 30 minutes of use. It takes 2 hours to recharge. The battery's begins losing the charge when they are taken off of the charger and are no longer charged in about 20 minutes so I can not charge them an keep them to use later.. I can use the trimmer with a fully charged battery no longer than 30 minutes. It takes over an hour and a half to charge the other battery. The first trimmer and 40v charger would last for well over and hour and a half to 2 hours of use, and the battery would hold the charge when not in use. I was so pleased with the first trimmer that after two years I damaged beyond repair. I am so unhappy and discouraged by the performance of the newer model that I am cautious about purchasing your newer model that has a larger capacity charger and batteries.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

spool line breakage

I have bought the 6 pack spool lines and have encountered breakage to where it is difficult to impossible to find where the end of it is as it is wound so tight. I have three or four of the spools the last two times that I have ordered the free spools that this has happened. Just purchased two packages to have on hand for the summer and the first spool I used did this. I have owned my product for 3+ years and have not encountered this problem until recently.

We apologize for any inconveniences you have been caused. The spool line is made of a biodegradable material so that it easily breaks down without impacting the environment. This makes the spools of line very delicate and in extreme weather situations, the line will begin to melt and fuse together.
