Terrible

This is the third time I am posting a negative comment about the spools. Even after Worx sent me "free" replacements, they still are terrible. I have been trimming/edging my property for the past 43 years. I have never used a trimming spool product that consistently fails during the task. Just yesterday, I had to spend more time readjusting, re-aligning and replacing 3-4 spools than I did doing the actual trim/edging. The spool material either broke apart, got caught up in the spool or just bound up in the spool. Presently, I live in a retirement community (the last two years) and go out to do a finish trim/edge after the community landscapers do their cursory work. In just doing this follow-up trim/edge I experience nothing but shear aggravation from the deficiency in the spool product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Since WORX is a green company, our grass trimming line is biodegradable and it will melt when exposed to heat and the elements. Scam free string claim site wide free shipping

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] you can't order more than six if you do it shipping billed each batch if you filled the box i wouldn't mind paying freight but need a 18 pack I buy a new item every year for extra batteries you think its the least can do is put a few orders and pay one freight charge

String is to stiff

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered my last set, they changed the make up of the string, It does not work with the auto feed, the string is to stiff. I have to manually extend the string, by that I mean, remove the spool cap, pick up the spool a little bit, pull on the string (force it out) reset the spool install the spool cap. That makes the trimmer itself look very bad in itself. I ordered another set from a different manufacturer, have not received it yet,, will update once I receive it. There is a old saying if it's not broke don't fit it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your experience and review! We are more than happy to help! We recommend unwinding and rewinding the spool to make sure the line is not overlapping or stuck together. Since the trim line is biodegradable, it can melt and stick together causing the line to not feed properly. If it's still not working, you can try another spool; it may be that particular spool has a problem feeding the line or breaking easily. You can also try resetting the auto feed system by pressing the small square reset button on the bottom of the trimmer. It is located below the eyelet where your line feeds out on the trimmer head. If you press that 3 times, the auto feed system will reset and the line will come out properly. Be sure not to pull the line out by hand. This will tighten the line around the spool defeating the purpose of the auto feed feature. Please check your email, as I have contacted you offline for further assistance.

As a single woman 74 yrs old, on 5 acres, this product is a life saver. Light enough to use for hours, changing spools and batteries is a snap. Thanks for such a great product. Have used mine for over 7 years and has never failed me.

Great to always have free spools on hand

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had the trimmer/weedeater since they first came out. I have about half-acre to trim, so being able to order the 6-pak of free spools for life is a terrific event. Worx is quick to get them sent and they arrive ready to go into the trimmer.

I bought both a year ago. I absolutely love the lightweight of both. I have two batteries so I am able to interchange them. Free spools for life!! Can't beat that.
