I've had my string trimmer forever and it still works like it just came out of the box. I love the convenient of lifetime spools and ease of ordering. Highly recommend all WORX tools!

It's not what it use to be . . .

The first battery powered tool I ever purchased was the original String Trimmer. I loved the Helical shape and sharp edge of the cord. I called it "The Razor Blade" when it came to trimming. Now that this shape has been "muted" and a different material is being used I find I'm using more. I use to only have to spool our a section two times a season and a spool would last forever. Now not so much. Also the way that the spools are being wound the filaments often get fused to the others wound inside the spool. This can also be attributed to a more mailable material.
I also get 2-3 spools per set that I have to rewind or just can't use. Although it still cuts nicely, it's not what it use to be. And the shipping fee is 50% more for a lesser product.
I'm a "Lifelong" WORX fanatic and always will be. Until the design and material changes get the better of them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Generally Good Product for a Very Useful Trimmer

The reel occasionally jams and must be removed to be rewound. This appears to be caused by the original winding process crossing over prior winding and locking the line.
