The Spools for Life are free themselves, but there is a shipping fee of $9.91 per package of spools to cover the delivery and handling of your product and to keep the program running at a low cost.The spools are biodegradable and over time will begin to bond together, corrode, break easily and will eventually not feed out properly. Be sure to store the spools in a temperature controlled climate, preferably a dry cool area of the home. We recommend storing the spools in a cool, dry place. The spool line is made of biodegradable material so that it easily breaks down without impacting the environment. This makes the spools of the line very delicate and in extreme weather situations, the line will begin to melt and fuse together. To combat this, the spools of the line can be unwound and rewound to ensure that the line will properly feed when placed in the grass trimmer.
