I have gotten these spools for life numerous times. Lately they are breaking and getting so stuck I can not undo them
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello! Thank you for sharing your experience and review! We greatly appreciate your honest feedback as it gives us a better understanding of where we need to improve. We recommend storing the spools in a cool, dry place. The spool line is made of biodegradable material so that it breaks down without impacting the environment. This makes the spools of the line very delicate and in extreme weather situations, the line will begin to melt and fuse together. To combat this, the spools of line can be unwound and rewound to ensure that the line will properly feed when placed in the grass trimmer.
