I had a drainage field replaced and the old one consisted of styrofoam pellets about 1 1/2" square. After completion the old pellets were everywhere, having gone through this task of picking them up by hand before and raking or sweeping did not work, I bought a vaccum with a metal blade chipper. The job was done in about a half hour. PS I'll be 90 in November

Leaf Monster!

I purchased this blower a few weeks ago and I've been using it like mad on the fall leaves. It's a monster! Leaves, twigs, even small pine-cones are no match for this thing.
I did a lot of research before I purchased this unit. I wanted a gas blower/vac for the portability, but there was nothing even close in performance for the price, so I decided to go electric, and it's been a nice choice. It's a tad heavy for an electric, but the power and performance is worth it.
I really like switching blow/vac with a level rather than removing and re-configuring pipes and nozzles. That alone is worth the price. I find that the blower function is not quite as strong as my blower only gas unit, but it's good enough and I plan to use this mainly as a vac.
This unit comes with a steel mulching blade and makes amazing fine mulch I've spread around the garden beds. I expect it will break down into some great compost by spring. The steel blade was another thing that set this unit apart. In the reality of sucking up debris you're never going to just get leaves so I wanted a steel blade vs the plastic junk that's out there. With the strong suction grabbing some pine-cones and twigs hidden in the leaves, it's good to have the reassurance of the steel.
I did have the vac nozzle clog a couple of times, but it was always at the opening where it just went crazy and sucked up a big pile of leaves. I have some big Poplar trees that produce large leaves and my neighbor has a Catalpa which drops some enormous (~6 to 8 in) leaves into my yard. Like the manual says, hold it back a ways from the debris and let it do it's thing. For me, I just shove a gloved hand into the opening and pull out a few leaves until the suction can take the rest. I've yet to have the unit clog up higher than the first few inches of the intake.
One last thing is I would strongly recommend getting the trash can/hose adapter for this unit. The shoulder bag is ok, but I suspect it would fill quickly. I purchased the adapter kit so I was not constantly emptying the bag and that's paid off. The hose that comes with the adapter is nice and long and works like a charm. The adapter does throw off some leaf dust when working, but it's not a big deal since you can stand several feet away. I imagine you'd get pretty dirty if the shoulder bag throws the same kind of dust with dry leaves.

Not that good at all

This machine doesn't really pick up my oak leaves, I have to unstuff the end because the leaves are to big. I also have a backache because the strap is to short and the machine is heavy after 20 minutes of using. I want my money back for sure.

Best combo blower, vacuum, mulcher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool comes out everytime we mow, but it is most important in the fall when we are dealing with LOTS of leaves, pecans, acorns, etc. It handles it all like a champ and makes the cleanup so much easier and we can get it all bagged up in far fewer bags because of the mulching. The only issue is the mulch collection bag zipper gets so messy it doesn't zip well after three years of use, but I was able to replace the bag and we are back in business, ready for this fall.

Disappointed in the Worx Trivac

I was excited to get this fancy new gadget. The box arrived, I opened the box and assembled the product and went to the front yard to start chomping up those leaves. 15 minutes into blowing and vacuuming the leaves my bag split open where it attaches to the machine. My heart sank, I paid for this? I stopped and pulled out a needle and thread and sewed the bag back up. Continued to work on the yard. I have cotton woods and the leaf debris is quite heavy, the suction seemed to stop working and would only suck up one leaf at a time, I turned it to blow for a few minutes, which should not have mattered, then went back to vacuum and it worked a little better. When I emptied the mulch bag I expected to see the debris finely chopped. Nope, whole leaves emptied out of the bag. I will be working in my yard this weekend and will give it one more go before I decide to return the product.

Bought it about a month ago strictly for vacuuming/mulching. I had one about 3 years ago, worked quite well, but this new unit is a dog. Very inefficient in picking up leaves from pile and from top of trimmed lawn. The old unit was much more efficient.

I went all out and purchased the mulcher and extras because the fact I have just about ever other basic worx tools. I cannot believe how well the switchable cordless screw driver works. Heck I'm a paraplegic and was able to utilize the weeder for my entire yard.
Sadly, the mulcher just doesn't meet the worx level I've come to expect.
