The blower could be stronger but ok if you are blowing light dry debris. Wont be able to do heavy duty fall clean up. More of weekly tool to upkeep patio. BIGGEST PROBLEM: The bag the seams constants rip where it connects to the mulcher and debris flies out. I've gone thru 2 bags in 2 years. The need to do something about it. Until then I can't recommend this product.

I cannot believe how AMAZING this thing is! Due to where our house is at the end of a dead end of one street and how our street curves, almost all the leaves on our street end up in front of my house and a few neighbors'. And our street has a LOT of trees. We used to have to spend a LOT of time, sweeping, raking, bending (NOT fun with a bad back & knee), pulling leaves out of bushes, etc. And there were always tiny bits, pollen and dust that refused to be swept up. :( Quite fun on our allergies, y'know? One night I saw the commercial for this (BTW, your web commercials are really funny!) and thought "No *way* this thing is this good!" But I gambled and ordered it and I am SO glad I did! IT. IS. AMAZING. Every little bit of tree debris is sucked up, and as a gardener and composter, having everything mulched is an absolute blessing. Composting leaves is hard, usually they will just mat together into a wet clump that doesn't break down. But having them mulched like this? Within a week they're already breaking down! :) My neighbors are really impressed and they all want one. Hey WORX, do you have any program where I get credit for referring others who buy stuff? :) Because I want practically everything on this site! Help a disabled lady on a small fixed income out, would ya? LOVE IT! The only negative thing I can say about this product is the leaf bag hangs a little awkwardly, on me at least. But I'm good at jury-rigging stuff, should be a simple matter to add an additional strap, so no biggie. I'm also thinking of attaching small wheels to the end of the nozzle (No worries, will make sure they can't get vacuumed up) so it can just roll along the street and be even lighter to hold. Oh, yeah... Any chance you'll ever have a cordless one? I'd be in heaven... :)

EXCELLENT TriVac for your yard work!

Good Day Everyone! I am writing a review for the FIRST time ever! I just HAD to write a review on this Worx TrIvac w/metal mulching system! I am a disabled Viet Nam Veteran and my spine is wired from top to bottom and doing yard work at my mothers because she can't do it anymore can sometimes be taxing on the back. BUT with this Worx TriVac it just became a whole lot easier!(Specially for someone with a rally bad back!) I've used other blower/vacs before and wasn't to impressed with them but had to use what I had. This Worx TriVac is awesome! I first tested the blower part and once I got it into the right holding position it was AWESOME! The power this blower has is as good as a gas powered one! Then when I switched it to the vacuum which you can do on the FLY it sucked everything up OUT of the ground, even those little berry's that get stuck under the grass! This is THE BEST Vac/Blower/Mulcher I have EVER used! AND the ratio is EXCELLENT as well! It takes me 3 hrs to cut my mothers lawn, just to give you an idea how big her yard is and usually I would have at LEAST 6 bags of leaves when I rake just PAT of the front and when I was done with the same area all I had filled was the TriVac Bag on my shoulder! Now THAT in itself, for me, is WELL worth the SMALL price I paid for this Worx TriVac! I am 100 % PLUS satisfied with the Worx TriVac! ALl I can say is if you live in the east and have a LOT of leaves to do, GET THIS WORX TRIVAC with the Metal Mulching! TRUST ME you WILL be GLAD you did! Dave Massachusetts

Overall, this was an awesome purchase, and I don't think any of my minor gripes are worth tainting a 5-star review. Here's the gist:
PROs
- It's lightweight. I'm a weakling and rarely found myself switching arms.
- It has a powerful adjustable blower, more than you'd ever need for yard waste. I've only used it on three separate days since I bought it two weeks ago (Ohio weather is unpredictable), but I've already found a use for most of the blow speeds. They range from 1 (weakest) to 6 (strongest). I use (6) to move piles of leaves and dead twigs, (5) to blow wet, dead grass without covering my face in it, (4) to blow dry dead grass over the yard, and I use (2) to move all of the above across concrete or black-top (I blow everything to the driveway / patio, then move it into a pile).
- The vacuum is also powerful, but I can't fathom a reason not to use it on full power. I think the adjuster is primarily designed for the blower. I use it to pick everything up once I have it in piles. The bag's size is deceptive; it holds more than it appears to (and you can give it a tug to make more space), but you'll probably have to empty it multiple times if you're cleaning an entire yard. My back and front yards combined are about 3 acres. Using the vacuum to pick up 3 acre's worth of dead grass and trimmer clippings filled the bag 4.5 times.
- The mulcher dices grass and leaves into near-powder. Just don't dump the bag against the wind!
- It has an extension cord holder for weak / fussy extension cords which like to fall out of the socket.
CONs
- The biggest con is the strap for the bag. I simply can't wear it comfortably- I'm 5' 10”, and if I wear it properly, I have to bend over to use the vacuum function, so I usually sling it on the same shoulder I'm holding the Trivac with (the vacuum requires you to hold it lower than the blower function does). When I do this, the strap slides down and gets in the way. So, I'm working to rig up a solution. I'd like to suggest that WORX provides a longer strap for the bag. It's already adjustable, but can only be made smaller.
- For those of us used to conventional straight-tube blowers, the bent tube takes a while to get used to. The goal is to hold the Trivac so that the front bent section is parallel to the ground. It seems obvious looking at it, but if you've used a typical blower before, it's a little counter-intuitive.
OTHERs
The mulcher is not a chipper shredder. I didn't include this in the Cons, because the mulcher isn't meant to handle wood. For leaves, grass, cut weeds, thin twigs, etc. the mulcher works wonderfully. However, the blades are not designed to handle more than the smallest of twigs and sticks. You can't use the vacuum on piles of sticks or tons of pine cones. For many folks, grass and leaves are the reason we're in the market. However, if your hard has many trees, the Trivac will have difficulty picking up too many loose twigs or thick bark after a storm, for example.
Reminder: I'm talking about the mulcher function here. The blower will get the job done whether or not your yard is pine cone-ridden!
DISCLAIMER
I have only owned this machine for two weeks, so I cannot accurately speak for its long-term durability. It hasn't shown any signs of wear or degradation, nor have I any reason to believe that it won't last, but to keep this review honest and accurate- I can't provide info on this subject.

Let me start by saying I have a ton of leaves. I bought this unit because of the amount of leaves that I have each year and I had one that used years ago. Normally I have 18 to 20 bags of leaves and a 65 gallon trash each cleanup. Now I have the 65 gallon can and 2-4 bags each cleanup. I have done 3 cleanups this year using this unit and the only problem I have had is human error (me forgetting to zip the bag attachment up). This unit has been a time saver for me because it does home/vac and mulch and you can switch on the go between blowing and vacuuming. I like that if leaves are sparse in an area I can blow them a pile then vacuum or if the leaves are more dense in an area I just vacuum them up skipping having to blow them into a pile first. The only negative is no attachment (that I've seen) to blow off the leaves from the gutters. Worx does have others that will do that. I would buy this unit again. It saves me time and money on leaf bags.

I bought this product in May after doing lots of research. I wanted to ensure I had the correct model that had the metal mulching system. Having the 3 in 1 machine is a tremendous help. The leaf blower has enough power to even move lightly damp leaves. The Vac works great on leaves. The mulching works great as well, but you have to take it slow and easy so that you don't over load the mulching grinder. I've had no issue with the bag. I recommend you pull it snug to avoid dragging on the ground OR buy another Velcro tie strap to help keep it off the ground and close to your body or the blower.

Bag collector

I love the machine, but the bag collector do not hold up to normal use. This is second bag replacement within a year. The separates around the twist on connection and rear seams.
Ok, just like all of you reading this review ,I'll admit I was a bit sceptical about the purchase .There are lots of 5 star reviews here as well it should be, but there were far too many that say that the collector bag ,even after the very 1st use or after just a few uses has somehow torn ,ripped or just plain separated from the collector nozzle.Well I did purchase on a leap of faith because of the outstanding track record of my other Worx tools.I can say here after the 1st Fall workout with the Trivac nothing could be farther from the truth. Are these reviewers plants from other competitors,I don't know but I'm writing to tell you the Trivac is well worth the price.I've had no problem at all with the collector bag and it's attached area on the nozzle. It's very secure and it's been used now on 7 different days a total of 6 1/2 hours of use.The vacuum does a great job and is powerful enough to vacuum up even those big oak leaves no problem at all.I did buy the metal impeller model and it did a great chewing up the smaller twigs that always get mixed up in the leaves.Should you get a jam or a clog ,the unit sort of splits in half like a shotgun to immediately clear the jam.Switching between blower and vacuum functions is a breeze with the flick of a very conveniently placed lever. The blower is a very concentrated and very strong stream of air from a smaller nozzle located right below the angled vacuum nose. All in all this unit is not only a 5 star but a true Allstar in performance.Happy Fall everyone I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
