The Vacuum/Mulching Is Awesome!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As I get a few years older (LOL) I wondered if there was a "better way" to sweep up after I mowed/trimmed my front Clover Patch (prettier than lawn) so I did some research and found Work Trivac 2 w/Multi Stage All Metal Multching System. I wasn't sure what to expect but I am happy to report this is a Fantastic tool! It is a bit heavier than I anticipated but the "way it works" is completely perfect :) It easily vacuumed up the small and huge clumps of clover waste but expertly reduced it to barely anything in my green bin. I am extremely happy with this tool.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does not do the job advertised

My review is solely for the mulching/vacuum function, and not the blower. This is an agonizingly inefficient machine for vacuuming and mulching. I live in the southeast US on1/3 acre of pines and oak trees, which results in fall yard work. After raking the yard debris into piles, I used the TRIVAC to vacuum and mulch the debris. After spending an hour mulching 3-4 piles into 4 bags, I opted to rake the remaining piles directly into the bags, which only took me 2-3 minutes per pile. The TRIVAC is agonizingly slow and inefficient, it is unwieldily and not well balanced, and the bag strap broke. Though I have owned this TRIVAC for about 2-1/2 years, this is the first time I used the mulching/vacuum function for this size task (we previously lived in the desert southwest where I primarily used the blower and only the mulch/vac a few times). Though the mulching function does save on bags- I used 1 bag for mulched debris vs 4 bags whole- it took 15 minutes to mulch one pile compared to the old fashioned raking, bending, picking up the pile, and putting it into the bag, which took me 2-3 minutes per pile. This machine simply does a poor job of sucking up the leaves and pine needles. I would not recommend this machine to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had these for years! My first was in Florida, then when I moved to Arkansas in the mountains, my second one! I am surrounded by trees both hardwood and pine! The amount of leaf fall is insane, but thanks to this machine it makes life so easy! It picks up the pine needles too and small twigs!

I just received it and tried it out in my yard.....and am going to send it back..... Low power to blow, and even less to pick up. It did not pick up leaves, and even small grass clippings on a walkway seemed too much for this machine..... I also own JawSaw which I LOVE, but this blower/vac/mulcher needs some help.....

I live in an area of blackjack oaks lots of tough leaves and acorns. This year in particular lost of twigs came with leaves. The metal mulching really complains and stops with the smallest twig. I am a bit disappointed. Have to start and stop a lot to unstop from leaves or twigs.

Leaf Relief

Before buying the Trivac, I had seen it on an infomercial but thought it would be far too low powered. My property is about 1.5 wooded acres and nearly impossible to keep clear of oak leaves.
Typically, I use my 5 horsepower shredder to mulch branches and leaves but it's really too awkward to use for general leaf cleanup requiring me to use my backpack blower to heard leaves into large piles and then rake them into the shredder feeder. Back breaking work.
So I order the Trivac just to try it out and I was able to remove the leaves behind my garage but I had to empty the little pouch 3 times. The Trivac performed flawlessly but the pouch is a non-starter for a large property so I put it into the garage and went and ordered the attachment for the trash can.
With the trash can attachment the Trivac was transformed into a must-have tool. I was able to do about 1/2 the back side of the (4000 sq. ft.) house and the leaves were mulched down filling about 2/3 of the trash can. I still needed my backpack blower because the built-in blower is pretty much for small properties but the mulch setting is a huge time saver.
Overall, I think the Trivac is pretty fantastic except it can get a bit heavy after a while (again not a problem for a small property). I plan to fit a pair of wheels on the bottom to maintain a fixed ground clearance and reduce fatigue.
Thanks for reading my review.

Tool works great. Just the bag blew open at the seam where it connects to the tool.
