OK Blower, Vacuum setup is poor

The blower I find sufficient for what I need a blower to do, but the vacuum is very disappointing. Previous to this purchase I was using an earlier version of the WORX blower/vac/mulch that was more than a little unwieldy, but performed excellently, until the plastic impeller broke and I saw a newer version at the time I was in the market for a replacement impeller. So I purchased the WG509. Much more comfortable than previous, but if you attempted to vac more than a few large oak leaves, the tube blocked almost immediately. Certain broader leaf varieties would also get stuck if attempted to vac them more than one-at-a-time and sometimes, even then. I didn't have these issues with the previous version and noticed that the older model had an input tube that flared at the end almost like a megaphone. The newer model does not. Another observation, the older version was a straight tube to the impeller and only then bent 90 degrees to the output. The newer, not straight, has a bend just past the intake. I think those mods to the WG509 are what yielded the less than stellar results I was used to. I noticed the new WG510 eliminates both of those mods. Will try the 510 an see.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and review! We greatly appreciate your honest feedback as it gives us a better understanding of where we need to improve. We apologize for any inconveniences you have been caused. We recommend using the Trivac pointing at a 45-degree angle versus directly towards the ground.

Thank you for choosing WORX!

Leaf Vacuum/Blower Works Great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our yard is in arid southeastern Arizona, landscaped with a variety of desert plants and trees over a gravel base. I purchased this product online, and after some research, because I needed a machine that could both blow and collect fallen leaves without disturbing the gravel. I am so pleased with the performance of this product! And the finely mulched leaves and small twigs from the front and back yards easily fit into one (1) yardbag for trash collection.

When I first saw this, I knew I had to have it. I have several different kinds of oak trees on my property, so this is more of a need rather than a want! The fact that I can put my rake away and am able to mulch the leaves, it's the best thing in my garage. I not dreading fall this year because the trivac will make it fun!

I am 6' tall, shoulder strap for 5'8 or less

I bought it last week, came quick, works pretty good, Kind of loud, but whatever. Problem is that the strap that goes over your shoulder is too short, If you're 5'8"-5'9", or less it'll work. If you're any taller, you're out of luck. Gotta walk around hunched over. And that simply isn't an option, wouldn't walk around like that without a heavy leaf vac/mulcher and bag full of mulch on my body. The vac wont touch ground, and if you do bend over enough to get it there, it points straight into the ground, no angle at all, so you're picking up everything on ground, not just leaves. And yes, I got it adjusted as long as the strap will go. Sucks because it does work pretty good, it's just that it's for shorter people. If you're 6'(or taller)you cant use this thing. And I like it! It does work. Sad they made the strap to the mulch bag so short. I would guess about 8-12 ,more inches would do it for most people over 6'. But I guess it would cost another quarter for the extra length of the strap so it prob adds up and they can save money by hunching you over. Oh well, back it goes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this as a mother days gift... 1st, it's bulky, with the bag attachment that is, and it doesn't fit that well around your body 2nd, you can't maneuver around within tight spaces with the bag attached, you need at least 3/4 feet around you 3rd, the metal blade, although a good ideal but the cavity around the blade builds up with dirt and debris, it cakes up, then slows down the suction and GOOD luck with cleaning it, it's hard to get to 4th, it's good for dry/dead debris ONLY and in an open space..

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and review! We greatly appreciate your honest feedback as it gives us a better understanding of where we need to improve. We apologize for any inconveniences you have been caused. The bag is to be used on the shoulder. If the bag is too cumbersome we suggest the WORX LeafPro Collection System. The LeafPro Universal Collection System allows for hands-free leaf collection right into a wastebasket, eliminating the need to dump the bag. For more details, please visit https://www.worx.com/leafpro-universal-collection-system-wa4054-2.html. Yes, we recommend for use with dry leaves and yard debris for optimal performance.

I would love this if it didn't need a cord. Tired of dragging cords around my front & back yard. I do all kinds of work, not only on my property, but also my 87 year-old neighbor's. I am gradually replacing all my tools with your battery operated products. Love my Revolution & have interested neighbors. Waiting on my drill/driver. Then want a hedge trimmer.
