Disappointing

Although claimed to be "lighter than a gallon of milk", the distribution of weight and the poor ergonomics of the handle make this the most uncomfortable yard tool I've ever used. The location and function of the power switch prevent me from being able to operate this with a single hand. The blower is poorly angled and weak even at full power.
The only positives: delivery was much faster than other reviews would have had me expect. The vac feature does seem to have a good deal of suction, but the bag/strap is placed so awkwardly I'd rather just rake leaves and drag them to the street on a tarp.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looks powerful but does not do the job

I bought this as refurbished and it sounds like its doing its job, but it isnt. It cannot even pick up dry leaves when the vacuum is 1 inch above the stack of leaves.

I have two of these units. Both units purchased in last six months. One with the plastic guts inside and the second one with the steel guts. The plastic shredder works twice as good as the metal unit. The plastic one sucks up leaves better and does not jam up as often. The metal unit bag does not work very well. In fact when I used the plastic bag on the metal unit it worked better and the unit also did better until the zip tie broke. I figured out the zip tie engineering and fixed myself. The units work better on a hard surface when sucking up leaves compared to suck up the leaves in the yard. The blower is very strong and moves the leaves very well. The units get heavy and seem a little short to the ground. I am curious if others have had the same experience with the metal unit. Glad you asked.

IF YOU HAVE LARGE LEAVES THIS WILL NOT PERFORM VERY WELL, THE LEAVES GET ALL PLUGGED UP AT THE END & WILL NOT GET SUCKED INTO THE UNIT !!!!!

Needs Improvement

The basic unit is great. It does everything as promised. The collection bag leaves a lot of room for improvement. The collection bag shoulder strap is entirely to short. I'm 6'3" and I have to hold the power unit with a bent arm, very tiring, to allow the collection bag to hang down so the throat is open. Then for the nozzle to be close the the ground I have to bend over, very tiring, which allows the catch bag to fall off my shoulder. I'm very disappointed because of this design flaw in what is otherwise a wonderful unit.

Had a lot of leaves that did not get cut up in little pieces, Sure didn't seem to do the ratio that it states.

Not what I expected

I bought this about 1 month ago expecting to be able to pick up and mulch the pine straw build up on my lawn. Regretfully it does not seem to have enough vacuum power to pick up the pine straw. I think I need to return it and look for something more powerful. I am not pleased.
