Well I read the reviews, about it being a good blower, that on some the on off switch doesn't work, and that is poor as a vaccum. But because of metal blade, and because reviews of others aren't much better, and that this one will switch between suck and blow without changing pipes, I bought one.
Well the reviews were correct, yes out the box the on/off switch didn't work, just jambed off! However the engineer in me had a look and the problem is that you have to have the pivoting nozzle that is secured by the rotary lock knob in front of the power switch fully closed. If you just close it and tighten the knob, the switch won't work! however if you pull the nozzle tight back against the case whilst you tighten the knob, the switch works fine afterwards. A good safety design you can't turn motor on without nozzle in place, but let down by poor manufacturing.
YES is a great blower even on low speed, on high speed if it will move, it gets moved.
Yes its an APPALLING Vacuum, for the reasons others have extrapolated, its all down to the bag. With the bag zipped up not enough air will flow through the fabric to create a vacuum to suck up more than the occasional leaf, and this is with a new bag that doesn't yet have the fabric clogged with dust. However! unzip the bag a couple of inches and it turns into a super vacuum, but and there is always a BUT! doing so means that you are then in a cloud of dust debris that means a mask and eye protection is a must (and preferably full breathing equipment), oh and you'll need a shower after about 2 mins use. So not a practical solution. A better temporary solution was inserting a 2" dia piece of flexible pipe in the bag, doing the zip up to it,leaving the pipe hanging out towards the ground. Much better, vacuum works great, most of the mulch collects in the bag, but a bit too much dust still blows out around the pipe which of course from the position on the bag means its directed at your head! So still not brilliant.
The bag needs lots of tiny holes in it to let the air out (but not the dust) like vacuum cleaners do. If I had a spare bag I'd experiment as this device has the potential to be one of the best blower/vacuum's. My guess would be the designers specified and tested a specific fabric porosity that worked, but when manufacture was sub-contracted nobody quality checked the fabric actually used.
A bit sad, Not a badly designed piece of kit, but suspect the accountants and buyers interfered to much in the manufacturing process to shave pennies that have emasculated the product, I think if the original designers tried a production version they would be disappointed.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and review! We greatly appreciate your honest feedback as it gives us a better understanding of where we need to improve. We apologize for any inconveniences you have been caused. May we suggest the WORX LeafPro Collection System if the bag is not of suitable for you? The LeafPro Universal Collection System allows for hands-free leaf collection right into a wastebasket, eliminating the need to dump the bag. Great features and easy to use

Bought this to use on apartment patio and walk areas. Path is small rock and shaded by medium growth maple trees. Lots of nooks and under bench areas too. Have some walking challenges and use a walker for mobility. Needed something I could carry and balance too. The Tri Vac fit the bill. It weighs about ten pounds. The best feature is the switch from blower to vacuum and no other parts to assemble for the purpose. The shoulder bag is the right size too. Not too heavy once full and relatively easy to dump into a yard bag. It mulches 18:1 so it can be dusty the dryer the leaves. Wear eye, ear, and dust mask protection for sure. Easy to assemble. Parts line up and click in place per pictured instructions.

My "Go-To" Garden Tool

My Fruitless Mulberry tree keeps my front yard littered with leaves, year around. I'd hate to think of keeping it clean without my Worx Trivac vaccum and mulcher. And of course, the blower is an added feature, while never changing the tool in hand.
