So Disappointed

I JUST BROUGHT THIS PRODUCT, WE USED THE WORX OVER THE WEEKEND AND IT DIDN'T HAVE AS MUCH POWER FOR SUCKING AS THE FIRST WORX WE BROUGHT. I WAS UPGRADING BECAUSE OF THE "TRIVAC w/ Multi-Stage All Metal Mulching System" MY OLD WORX PICK-UP MUCH FASTER
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works great as a blower. Switches effortlessly between being a blower and a vac. My only complaint is that it doesn't seem to vacuum up large piles of leaves all that well. The vacuum end clogs quite easily and I was constantly having to clear the leaves from the end of the chute. Seems to work better if the leaves aren't in piles and rather spread out. Once they are vacuumed up it shreds them very nicely including all the little sticks that got in there. This product would be perfect if it could suck up the leaves a little bit faster and not clog as much.

Blower/Mulcher Adequate

I bought the product a couple of weeks ago - with high hopes. However, we have pecan trees - when the leaf or leaves fall from the tree they stay attached to the long stems which harden. You have to clear the opening every few seconds when using the mulcher setting because these stems clog the opening and the leaves then add to the clog. Basically a royal pain in the butt. Where I live, it's much easier to rake the leaves on to a large plastic tarpaulin, drag them to the street and place them at the curb. The city truck comes by and sucks them up into it's huge mulcher - end of problem. I will use the blower aspect to blow the leaves from around the house and off the marble chip decorative stones so I can Have better access using a rake. Will also use it to clear debris from the sidewalk. I like the adjustable speed for the blower. So all in all not a bad product - just not right for the trees we have.

Compacts leaves well, awkward to handle

I bought this item about 2 months ago, I find it works reasonably well but is awkward to handle when picking up yard waste. I also paid considerably more than the current pricing which is disappointing.

Watch out for fibrous plant leaves or bark mulch chips they can jamb impeller.
Needs easier access to valve & impeller for cleanout.
Have valve switch on bothe sides of unit.
Otherwise functions as advertised.

it's what I expected

I recently purchased the unit and used it once so far. It works as advertised. I can't speak to it being a huge time savor but it is a bit easier than hand raking. The mulching feature works pretty nice. Being electric the cord can be a little cumbersome but manageable. It's worth using. It would be nicer if I had a more comfortable shoulder strap.

Difficult to manage!

I bought this a month ago and have used it twice. It is heavy and does not have sufficient hand grips. The collection bag and electric cord make it very difficult to use.
