Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the TRIVAC WG509 to vacuum leaves around my swimming pool. Works great, good suction and very easy to empty the bag.

Great for landscaped areas!

I love my trivac! We have tons of trees and so a ton of leaves in the fall. It takes forever to blow out all the landscaped areas and then either blow them across the yard to the woods or tarp them b/c there are so many. The trivac allow you to suck them out of these areas and the mulching makes the piles in the woods so much smaller. If you have a compost pile area this would work great for that.

Best Mulcher

It great great mulch for landscape beds with little effort and 3 bags later.

Blower is much more anemic than I thought.

I had my family buy this product for me as a Christmas present for 2020. I had I formed my brother I would give him my old blower since I thought this product would be able to handle a substantial amount of oak leaves which fall in my yard that I bag every-year. It's not that powerful a blower so I kept my old blower and use Trivac 2 for cleaning the dirt which accumulates on my garage floor. I do have the cart which we used to assist my son and 2 of his friends in obtaining Eagle Scout but this product I am disappointed. Good idea insufficient capacity.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I used to work clearing leaves on my knees in my gardens of rocks. I injured my knees and can't do that any more. I thought I might have to hire someone to clear the leaves in the Spring but we got some unexpected warm weather just when I got the Trivac 2. I sucked up at least 95% of the leaves in and around my rocks. I'm using the mulched leaves to protect some recently transplanted plants .

Bag security flaw

I just purchased the Trivac and gave it a pretty good workout the first day. Generally, I am pleased with how it works in both modes and like the fact that the nozzles do not have to be switched to change from vac to blower. The shoulder bag that comes with the unit is poorly constructed in the following regard. Using a cheap plastic adjustable tie that is housed inside the hose does not allow for much help when the hose slips off its plastic sleeve holder, which it did almost immediately. I am replacing this with a good hose clamp that can be tightened to keep it secure. So far, I have had no similar problem with the auxiliary bag attachment that goes on a trash can but again, only a plastic tie is used (at least it is on the outside for easy replacement if necessary). Overall, the mulcher function worked well on some tough leaves (cottonwood).
