I purchase the blower mulcher about a month ago and used it over the Thanksgiving weekend. It does a great job in blowing the leaves and mulching leaves. Is best suited for a smaller yard as it is somewhat time consuming to vacuum up the leaves. The metal fan blades are a plus what picks up the twigs and acorns from the ground.
I purchased the Trivac w/ the Metal Mulching system because I have a lot of pine trees and oak trees. The blower on the unit is ok but it is not for a large job, I had to use my Gas blower. The vacuum is great but you can only allow a small amount of leaves to be sucked in at a time or opening will jam up with leaves. As a whole it's a great unit for a small quick clean-up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It is December in northern Ohio, but, it is still between 35 and mid 50 degrees. I have only used the tool once - and that was to get the leaves out of our numerous shrub beds. It work as advertised, perfectly, and sucked up the leaves and mulched them. I am very pleased with this yard tool.
Versatile and effective, but could be more durable

I really like this tool for vacuuming and mulching leaves, especially compared to my older leaf blower and vacuum/mulcher. However, within the first month of heavy use, the plastic vacuum tube developed two holes in its sides (which I could "fix" with duct tape) and the bag showed signs of wear. If I did not buy the model (WG509) with the metal impeller, the plastic impeller would probably have broken as well. This is a very useful tool, but I'd pay more for a much more durable version.
