I have a 1/4 acre lot in Southwest FL, new sod installed August 2023. New construction 2023, so some steep hills due to hurricane code 5' above road center. I am a big fan of Worx tools and bought my first trimmer around 2006 or so. I say this for context as a long time user.
Pros: Spring assisted height adjustment is very handy. Easy to use and figure out all controls During the winter/dry season I can get the lawn done on just 2 sets of (1 set 5.0Ah and 1 set of 4.0Ah) full battery packs Never failed to run and nearly maintenance free. Lightweight and easy clean up with my Worx blower Self -propelled is a plus but...
Cons Inadequate battery longevity prevents me from using the self propelled feature. Inadequate batteries during summer months when rain and grass growth gets out of control. I need 2x5.0 Ah and 2x 4.0 Ah batteries to do half the yard, cool and re-charge four hours, then finish the second half. I run the trimmer and blower off my 2.0 Ah Powershare drill and jigsaw batteries. That's half to most of the day just to mow 1/4 acre. No warning when batteries are low or running out. Just stop. When grass gets long during the summer, or worse if its wet with dew or rain, the side discharge clogs on a single pass. I keep a piece of irrigation hose on the handle just to clear the chute every pass. After a while I just mulch because stopping every 2 minutes to clear the chute is very tedious. Mulching kills battery life. The side discharge mode is the bane of my weekend, but mulching is worse and bagging is a ridiculous waste of time. I would simply never get done. Side discharge shield spring-loaded mounting system is pretty flimsy and bumping the discharge shield against nearly anything can dislodge it. You have to plan your pattern around keeping everything to the left side of the mower to avoid hitting the discharge shield. My neighbors with gas powered push mowers get done in half the time I do with one pass. Battery life over the course of the year is diminishing. However, this year we have had heavy rain fall and the grass gets tall in just one week, so it is possible the batteries are just working harder than they did last year.
Recommendations: If you have a small yard, or sparsely growing grass, this really is a nice little unit. The pros during the winter outweigh the cons during the summer. 1/8-1/10 acre urban lots and you are good to go. However, if you have a 1/4 acre or 1/3 acre lot, your grass grows quickly, or you live in Florida, it is simply inadequate during the summer. I have the sweat stains to prove it. These units should be sold with 8 Ah battery packs only.

rendered useless by a piece of plastic

bought less than 30 days ago, mowed 1/4 acre with no problems, second time mowing the wheel fell off. Mowed great when it worked but the whole thing is rendered useless by a cheap little piece of plastic that I cannot find in the grass. Called to register a warranty claim and was told to leave a number we will get back to you. Not a happy customer here.

I’m an avid buyer of almost all Worx tools, but this mower I am not very happy with it. The height adjustment that I have always used is a four, But when I use a four on this, it does not cut the grass at all. But when I use a height of 2 I get a few grass clipping in grass catcher.. I'm concern because I was told never to cut below four unless you’re cutting for the end of the season at a height of 3. So I might be killing my grass if I keep cutting It at a height of one. So mower might end up as a miss-fit tool in the garage or sold at a great loss to me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this mower just a few weeks and used it three times mowing to bag up all the dead 'winter kill' brown St Augustine grass with the bagger attachment, on setting 3 (2.25") and wow handled it beautifully. Front sides and back I hot 55 min of mowing time. I filled up a big Waste mgmt garbage can to the top of clippings. The lawn is very clean looking with the early green starting. In summer I typically mow at 3" and mulch. Great having the green led guage on the outside. Once all leds are no longer lit and down to just 2, you still have more time than you think, happy about that. After emptying the bag and starting again it will momentarily be back to 5 lit LEDs. The handle design and bigger rear wheels make it easy yo push and turn. Quiet running, great for listening to your Playlist with ear buds. The two 20V battery packs in today's technology seem like plenty of power to do any lawn job. Love it!

Right out of the box, all I had to do was unfold the handle, adjust the blade height with one simple handle and charge the batteries. This mower is light and quiet. I am older and do not mow for more than 30 minutes at a time and a single charge handles this easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this one month ago with high hopes….and we REALLY want to love it….but let’s talk about battery life? We can’t even mow half of our small front yard on a full charge. Surely this is the exception? We have never been so disappointed! Is this normal for fully charged batteries? We have used many other Worx products and have loved them, which is why we ordered this mower. Worx is normally a great brand…maybe our batteries are just damaged? Stuck with mower…do t know what else to do?

This lawnmower works great, cuts great after a year of using, the two batteries last enough for two separate yards front and back!
