Awesome battery powered mower

I have been impressed by the Nitro mower. It is nice and lightweight, quiet and doesn't vibrate like a gas mower. It is also really nice that it folds small to store. I have a recently laid sod lawn, so it hasn't been well established to have a very thick cut yet. During the first cut the batteries barely went down at all. I suspect once the grass is more uniform in length it will take a bit more juice to cut. I also love that the batteries can be shared with my other tools. That is the main reason that I picked this mower, even without that I would say this is a good purchase as it worked quite well. All in all I am very happy with this.

I don't expect the wheels to come off

Right out of the box before I started my first cut, the front wheel came off. I recovered the axel cap and applied a few hammer taps. Five minutes into mowing the lawn the front and back wheels rolled off. I am extremely disappointed after being happy with the other Worx tools I bought. Why this mower doesn't have cotter pins to hold the wheel in place is beyond me. Still, I want to keep the mower. Since I bought the mower online, I don't know where to take it for warranty work. I will have to be more careful buying tools sight unseen in the future. It just shouldn't be that way.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No lift from blade

There is zero lift from the mower blade. The front tires push grass down and there is no lift to pull the grass up and cut the grass. Even going over the section again mowing directly over the bent grass the lack of lift doesn't pull the grass blade up to be cut. Any blade that is growing bent at 45 degrees to the ground wont get cut. I looked for an aftermarket high lift electric blade but because WORKS designed a preparatory blade retaining system, no other blades but WORKS blades will fit. I understand that reducing weight of the blade helps battery life but it isn't worth it. I will look to go back to the power of gas.

Unusable. Will Not Cut Anything.

I rarely leave reviews for things, but I feel that this warranted one.
I am on my second Worx lawn mower. After the first one arrived, I took it out of the box and the wheel promptly fell off. It was missing the pressure fit lug nut keeping the wheel on. So I went through the process to RMA it and get a replacement. So this review is (primarily) dealing with the replacement unit.
That being said, I used to recommend Worx products to anyone that would listen, but I will no longer be doing so. This lawn mower has something in it backwards, resulting in the lawn mower blade only being able to be installed in the position where the sharp cutting end is not spinning towards the grass being cut. This then means that any time I push the mower into some grass, the "hook" side of the blade gets caught on any little bit, the entire mower freezes up, and shuts off. I also burn through batteries like crazy (I went through 3 sets of batteries over the span of a half hour). So ultimately, if you're looking to beat the grass to the height you want this mower will work great. But if you're wanting to cut it, this will not do it.
I am extremely disappointed in this mower.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Buy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I looked at several brands of cordless push mowers and I feel like a made a good selection with the Worx Nitro Cordless Push Mower. The mower arrived very fast after ordering. Unfortunately, the operating bail handle connection to the safety key box was broken inside the box and not able to operate. Happily, the Worx service department was able to send out a replacement mower which also arrived in a short period of time. I have used the mower twice so far and the mower is better than expected. The batteries lasted about 30 minutes of mow time. As I have another set of Worx batteries from other previously purchased Worx equipment, I was able to swap out the batteries and finish mowing. I used a leaf blower to blow off the dirt from the mower when finished to keep if looking like new. One feature that I really like is the single lever height adjustment that adjusts all wheels at one time with ease. The mower is also quiet. Looking forward to mowing again soon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mower exceeds all of my expectations! It is lightweight, easy start, easy to operate and environmentally friendly. It’s not loud and does a great job. I am an older lady that wanted to do my own yard work. This is perfect for me. I have just over a 1000 sq ft yard. I mowed my back yard almost on 1 charge. I would say 5/8th of the big backyard. I mowed the rest and my front yard the next day, and still had full charge when finished. The batteries are easy operation for me. No nonsense way to mow and my mower stands upright inside my house. I was concerned about a push mower vs a self propelled for my personal use. I’m recovering from a brain tumor surgery and doing my own yard was questionable. But, WORX equipment has given me independence and restored my can do attitude!
I would recommend this to a friend!
