I have to admit I made fun of my wife when she purchased the first Worx 10" electric chainsaw. I've always been the Stihl 18" bar rip roaring kind of tree wacker - until I had elbow surgery. I begrudgingly picked up the little saw to do trimming and was immediately struck by the torque and cutting ability so I graduated up to a bit bigger limb. Then continued up to 6" tree, then up to a 10" cedar tree (which can be a big gnarly many headed hydra!) and it cut it down! After that I got to looking at the limbs over my head and figured "I ain't getting my 65 y/o butt up a ladder to cut those!" and found the Worx Pole/Chainsaw and immediately ordered it. Got the saw in just days and got busy with it. Cutting pretty large limbs that got broken by the 21' Snowmageddon ice and snow event here in Texas. It seemed a little heavy and unwieldy at first but you can use that to your advantage because all you have to do is start the saw and rest it's weight on the limb and let the chain do the work! I felt a lot more comfortable standing on solid ground rather than 12' up because I know from experience that gravity sucks!
Cons: 1. Go ahead and spring for a bigger battery. The little 2 amp batteries run out pretty quick, which can be a good thing if you're old and want to pace yourself. I got the 4 amp battery and it cuts longer than *I* want to.
2. Watch the chain tension! If the saw starts jumping the shock tends to loosen the chain, so if it starts the bump-bump-bumping it will still cut but check tension often.
Conclusion: I have jerked my arm outta its socket for the last time! With the new battery chemistries and stronger motors there is no reason to use an internal combustion engine again!

As a recent widow with acreage that must be often cut back I have been able to cut up more than 10 20’ plus invasive trees from my property with this sweet saw; on and off the pole. At 55 I am glad I bought this saw! My husband had an extremely heavy chainsaw which is way too heavy for me to operate safely. Thanks for the great product and the quick charger is also great. Changing the chain is so simple

Delight to use

Ordered online 3/17/2021 - FedEx received 3/20/2021 - Assembled 3/20/2021 - Tested 3/21/2021. You must buy bar and chain oil separately before running. Tried the chainsaw 1st without a pole extension and the ease of a little 10" was great to use. Had many small 3-4" pieces to saw down. Pole extension was easy to put together, extend, the battery in and out. Had several high branches to cut with full extension. I found it still easy to handle and not drop when final cut through branches. Always be aware of any powerlines.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi being a 65 yr old woman whose always been scared of chainsaws I ventured out and purchased yours ... I had a friend come show me how to properly use it. So far so good .. I have small trees to trim in which it works great.. in trimming the higher branches it does get heavy at the top. But given the chainsaw can be removed and used independently makes it great!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!
