Pleasantly surprised

A gasoline powered chainsaw of the same size has nothing over this unit. Electric motor technology has come a long way in recent years. An amazing amount of torque from such a small motor. I couldn't believe how much faster I cut through limbs and small logs than my gas powered saw. Pulling out an extention cord is a very nice trade off for eliminating all the hassle with mixing the fuel and remembering to empty the tank at the end of the season, etc.

Great Saw - Easy For Women To Use

FedEx left my clearly labeled chainsaw exposed on a chair on my front porch - didn't even bother to ring the doorbell. Not as thoughtful as UPS. I am developing a strong dislike for FedEx. Aside from that I was glad to receive my saw today. After the first cut the cutting blade/chain came off. I had to phone WORX to figure out how to remove cover and put the chain back on - very easy operation. It never came off again and I suspect it needed to be tightened before use. I am glad the chain came off, because a lot of saw dust had collected under the cover, so ladies, be sure to remove the cover and get all the oil-caked saw dust out after each use. There was no kick-back, that I noticed, and the saw cut through a 11 3/8 inch tree trunk like butter. The saw initially felt heavy, (probably not for men) but during use it was no heavier to use than a hedge-trimmer. At age 70, I found the saw easy to use and the chain easy to replace. I have several WORX products, and am glad I purchased this chainsaw. I have no complaints so far.

I received this saw yesterday. I have been heating my home from wood on my acreage for 26 years. Two years ago I had a pacemaker put in & could no longer use a gasoline powered chainsaw. I tried my old electric saw and it was worthless on large trees. I bought a battery operated chainsaw and, it too, was worthless on large trees. Today was the first I used this new saw and was just amazed at its performance. It cuts faster than my gas saws and is lighter. I am just completely impressed with this saw and I just hope it holds up well

This saw can really cut In my opinion, it has more power than gas saw. I've taken out a lot of medium size trees and a couple large trees. I have 12 acres and need to thin out trees so to get a better view of mountain range and sun sets I have a generator that is portable, just move it were it is needed and start it up and plug in No more mixing oil and gas No more having hard time starting chain saw No more working on carburetor No more breaking the pull string I ran out of bar oil , so I used some Castro motor oil I hope that's ok Very impressive power Just keep the chain sharp cause that makes all the difference in the world I actually have two chains And avoid dirt with the chain saw chain As dirt dulls the chain more than wood

Much lighter and a lot less vibration with comparable power to a gas powered saw, for less than half the price. So far I have cut up 15 cords of firewood without any problems. Logs were up to 18 inches in diameter, oak and cherry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just keep adding chain oil, and keep working. Much easier than the gas chain saw. I have both, and will newer use the gas one.
This saw is as good if not better than my old saw. I cut trees up to 24 inches , this saw handled the job of cutting these trees very well. I would recommend this saw to anyone.
I got this saw for a specific immediate need -- trimming posts for a new deck. I am DELIGHTED by its power, and I enjoy the new sharp chain. Time will tell whether the chain and bar will give a good life -- I threw away my last electric chain saw specifically because of that feature.
In close quarters, the 18" bar is a little awkward, and the balance is not as good as most of the gas chain saws I've owned or used. But I specifically got the longer bar model because I know that eventually I'll need it to cut up a downed tree.
I really like the chain tensioner knob, and I think you should license the patent to every manufacturer. Chain tension has always been an issue with every chain saw I've had or used, and this feature was a key selling point for me.
I'll get back to you after I've chopped up a few cords of mesquite wood at my brother-in-law's ranch. That'll tell whether this is a saw that can take a beating, and is a saw that I can use all day long. I'm hoping that for "manly man" wood cutting like clearing a few acres of mesquite, this saw will excel, even if I have to run a generator and drag a cord around.
But for use here at the house in town, it should satisfy every single need -- and at a wonderfully inexpensive price, too! Just add oil...
