Problems with Autotension

Purchased this Chainsaw just over 1 year ago but have only used it twice. It has only been used for light duty , 4" dry cotton wood branches and smaller. I had trouble from the start with adjusting the chain tension, cutting one piece per Worx operating manual, chain lubrication reservoir filled and appeared to work however you have to adjust the chain tension after each cut and most of the time 2-3 times during the cut. I have made a grand total of 5 cuts and the chain came off the track and cannot fix it. The manual is very poor regarding addressing these types of problems. In the process of dealing with Worx on a replacement. Hope they treat me right and will keep you posted on their site and social media. The Auto tension control is a joke!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is recommended that you tension the chain every 4-5 cuts. Depending on the type of wood being cut, the heat that is produced can cause the chain to stretch. To tension the chain, simply secure it around the sprocket and bar so that the chain is seated then pull the bar forward (outward) to create a snug fit. The chain should be tight enough to fit securely around the bar while leaving appropriate give for tensioning. Take caution that you do not overtighten the chain.

pastic gear damages again

I bought this a year ago then cutting a 16" trunk tree gets damaged replace the part a big plastic gear and in the 2nd used the gear damages again
Bought it because the 15 Amp motor, strong. but probably to strong for the gear

Poor feature discription

Worx failed to mention in its product description that I only have a 50' range from a house outlet with a 12 gauge extension cord. Which makes it almost useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great for light tree clean-up. Cut fine. Not much room for hands between grip and safety guard. Provided bar chain oil a joke. Amount provided does not even show on oil indicator. Good value overall
