Can't get parts

I bought this saw because of the reviews. I have used it six times, the last was to cut a tree in front of my house. The saw got hot and burned the motor brushes. These are the most common problem with electric power tools. I can not buy replacements. I have checked the web, called worx, they are just not available. Without them the saw is junk. I would not buy another ! ! !!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great, except for auto-tension

I've had this for a while, used it a few times, and I like it. Cuts thru wood easily, although it could be because of it being a new, sharp blade. The auto-tension feature seemed to be working until last week, when the chain came off. I had been cutting last mbs for about 16 minutes, with no issues. Worked for 5 minutes

Slung the chain the first time I used it (about five minutes). I put it back on but the chain refused to stay tightened on the bar! Chain tensioner doesn't work! Very disappointed with this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you are having trouble with the chain. When placing the chain back on the bar, please make sure that when you pull up on the chain it doesn't go higher that the thickness of a penny. Also make sure that the teeth are oriented in the right direction if they are not this will cause the chain to pop out easily. If you continue to have problems with the chain staying on the bar, please contact our customer service department over the phone or through the live chat link at the top of the page and we will be glad to trouble shoot this with you and help you get the best work out of your tool.

4th one's a charm .... So far

I bought a 16" saw which worked well but leaked oil when stationary. Ditto with the second 16" saw. Tried an 18" saw as it had better reviews re: oil leakage. But it also leaked oil, and on the third time we used it, it just stopped working. Customer service again sent a return label, and I am on the 4th saw (an 18"). This one seems to be ok. Time will tell if it leaks oil. Other than that, the saws are great... Lightweight, easy to handle.

Great power, very poor design

The chain came off twice in 30 minutes of use. I've and owned chain saws for many years and never had a chain problem. I sent this one back. The problem is that because it has an easy chain tensioner the bar is never tight. this is probably true of any saw that has the same feature. I replaced with a saw that has 2 bolts to get the bar tight. I gave it 1 star because zero is not an option.

I've had it up to my ears with gas operated products (not ready for cordless) this electric chainsaw is very impressive. Easy to set up and easy to handle. Get you some more bar and chain oil though!
