THE LITTLE SAW THAT COULD

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this late Spring with pole attachment to trim tree limbs. This Summer my 38ft, 16in diameter Maple discovered a new source of nutrition & begin dipping into the sewer line. Not a good result in toilet flushing action. The previous owners didn't take that into consideration when planting the Maple next to the sewer line. I knew I needed a longer saw to tackle removing the Maple & deliberated on the cost of bigger saw, or hiring an arborist. Procrastination & spending time reflecting on options I looked at my 10in saw & decided to give it a go. I spent 3 full days dismantling the limbs leaving an 18ft, 16in diameter trunk. Sizing it up I thought I would give it a try. By making large notches around the perimeter I was able to eventually bring that sucker down. All done on 3 batteries. Honest! This success was not without its mishaps & problems. The chain made its reluctance at such a task by jumping off several times but no big deal. Gave time for a welcomed rest & restoring the chain back to its bar, a simple fix, thanks to no requirement for tools. I now have a large pile of "logs" seasoning for next winter's fireplace. I went on to bring down a couple 8in fir trees, a 9in flowering plumb & removed magnolia limbs up to a full 10in. Indeed, the little saw that could & still is doing, on the original chain. I did learn that trying to use it as a shrub trimmer is a big mistake.
You will spend more time resetting the chain on the bar than any trimming you'll do. It doesn't like taking little bites, but then that's what hedge trimmers are for.
Keep it well oiled & sawdust cleaned out & feed it fully charged 20V & it won't disappoint.

Perfect for women and persons with limited agility

Just bought this. Feels great in your hands and easy to use. Lightweight. With just instructions on safety and how to use, the saw is perfect for small jobs. No longer need to find someone to do my small jobs. Enjoy using it.

Very Disappointing

This saw is pretty much useless. No power. Can barely cut twigs. Leaked the entire amount of bar oil, more than once. Do yourself a favor, spend the money for a “real” chainsaw.

Batteries are not lasting.

I bought this three weeks ago and the battery is not lasting. It was bought with the saw and the charger. Can't even cut down a 4" tree and cut it up with 1 battery. Battery is a 2018 battery 20v 2.0. Pulled my shoulder out and can't use my gas chainsaw that's why I ordered this one. Have other worx products and have not had any problems with them. Santa's

However, chainsaws use more power and when the blower is on the highest setting it will deplete the battery's power more quickly.
For added runtime, we recommend purchasing an additional battery to assist with tackling larger tasks. WORX offers high capacity 20V 4.0Ah and 6.0Ah lithium batteries that will increase your runtime with twice the amp hours of our standard battery. We apologize for any inconveniences you have been caused. It is recommended that you tension the chain every 4-5 cuts. Depending on the type of wood being cut, the heat that is produced can cause the chain to stretch. To tension the chain, simply secure it around the sprocket and bar so that the chain is seated then pull the bar forward (outward) to create a snug fit. The chain should be tight enough to fit securely around the bar while leaving appropriate give for tensioning. Take caution that you do not overtighten the chain.

Great Chainsaw

I have gas chainsaws but this is the best thing that ever happen for light and medium duty work....No gas to mix and pulling to start....Much safer to use then a gas chainsaw.......you let of the trigger and it's off and you can set it down without causing harm to someone or damaging the saw.......plus the price was right.

Great Battery life on single charge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After countless searching and reading reviews, I purchased the Worx 10" 20v chainsaw. The brand lives up to the name, it "Worx". Perfect saw for clearing brush and trimming trees. I worked in the yard for close to an hour, cutting and hauling branches and brush away.
No worries about storing and mixing gas and oil in a can. Never worry about will it start the next time I go to use it. Just put in chain oil and pull the trigger. Super easy to unpack and attach the bar and chain. Kept the box for easy storage.
Can't wait to purchase other Worx products because of the interchangeable battery pack.
