Perfect for Oldsters

I am an 86 yr old female, weigh almost 100 lbs, still struggling to cope with maintenance of 6 wooded acres where large tree limbs (up to 4" dia) want to clutter the forest floor. This chainsaw is perfect for my need to clean up and get firewood that I can easily handle. It is so lightweight and has so many other wonderful features (an oiler that really works, simple chain tightening, easy cleaning and battery changing, and plenty of CORDLESS power) that I have said goodbye to my old 12" corded saw. I am now free to roam the woods, and battery power lasts about as long as I do, so we make a good pair.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to use and a lot of fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and happy I did. I just used it for the first time today to clear some trees away from my creek bed. I was really happy with how easy it was use. I am a 53yr old woman and have never used a chain saw before. My father was always the one to use the chain saws. He is 87 now and can no longer lift the heavy saws. He tried this one out and was happy with how light it was. I might have to buy another one as he likes this little guy so much I had to sneak it out of the house. Thank You Worx you guys always have just what I am looking for.

Best Toy I Have

This thing actually looks like a toy (according to my wife). But I have used it to clear the overgroth on a 2 acre woods and I can tell you that it is NO TOY. The light weight even with a 4amp battery is so great on my 71 year old back. I love this saw and I am now a Worx customer. Bye, bye gas powered tools.

Very Lightweight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this during the winter season to be ready for spring. I saw what needed to be trim and didn't have the money for a tree service. I am a female, 55 and wanted something I could handle and maintain. I have never used a chainsaw before and was concerned on the safety features. Easy to use and very light. After 2 min with it I was a pro I love this saw and it is so quiet.

I bought this hoping I’d be able to handle it and use it. I’m a 62 year old woman who does a lot of DIY and gardening. It would’ve cost me 10x what I paid for this for someone else to come in and do the work. I am a WORX fan!! I have many of their yard work tools love them all!!

I’ve purchased several Worx tools for yard work because they are lightweight and easy for me to handle. Other than the poor battery life, I have generally been pleased.
This chainsaw is a dud. Leaks oil when not in use and sprays oil when in use. Customer service says it’s designed to leak oil. Suggested I add a tiny bit every time I use it then store it upside down. Chain flies off every couple of cuts unless the tension is manually adjusted. It actually makes a decent cut when it works, but it takes too long to do the job when you have to stop and put the chain back on over and over and clean up the flying and leaking oil.

Thank you for sharing your experience and review! We greatly appreciate your honest feedback as it gives us a better understanding of where we need to improve. We apologize for any inconveniences you have been caused. To ensure your chainsaw does not leak, we recommend that it is left in an upright horizontal position. To prevent continuous oiling after operation, we recommend unloosening the oil cap slightly then tighten it again. We also recommend using a standard bar and chain oil(Grade: ISO VG32) as it is a thicker viscosity which will prevent the oil from spewing from the chainsaw. The bar and chain oil can be found at your local hardware store.
It is also recommended that you tension the chain every 4-5 cuts. Depending on the type of wood being cut, the heat that is produced can cause the chain to stretch. To tension the chain, simply secure it around the sprocket and bar so that the chain is seated then pull the bar forward (outward) to create a snug fit. The chain should be tight enough to fit securely around the bar while leaving appropriate give for tensioning. Take caution that you do not overtighten the chain.

PERFECT FOR ME!

I've had gas-operated chainsaws in the past but as a smallish, aging female, those have become to difficult to handle. The cordless product here is perfect, allows me to tackle smaller tasks without issue & is comfortable to use for periods of time. I'd strongly recommend! Have other WORX products & have never been disappointed!
