Chain falls off

I bought this saw in mid April and finally used it this past weekend. I loved the weight and ease of use BUT after 2-3 cuts, the chain would fall off. The limbs I was cutting were only 2-3 inches in diameter and as long as the chain stayed in place, the saw worked well. Customer service wait times are ridiculously long so if anyone has any suggestions I’d appreciate the advice. TIA

Thank you for your question. One way to help alleviate the issue is to take the bar and chain off of the tool, then reassemble it to make sure it tightly in place. After you place the bar and chain on the tool, pull the bar outwards (away from the motor) and then start twisting the auto tension knob. As you tighten the knob, lift the tip of the bar at a slight upwards angle. Once fully tightened, let go of the bar and check the tension in the chain. Tipping the bar at an upward angle as you tighten it allows for added tension and typically resolves any issues with the chain popping off. I will also send you an email with additional troubleshooting steps, just in case, this does not solve it for you.

Just what I expected for a lightweight chainsaw

I bought it a few weeks ago, and for what I need around the yard, it seems to be fine. So far I like the auto-tension feature.

It is still working and they still honor their free trimmer line for life. Impressive. I just bought the 10” cordless chains saw and used it the other day for garden trim and cleanup. It is just as well made as all the other Work tools I have!

That branch that, for whatever reason just bugs you. Well, now you can grab your electric chainsaw, slap in a battery and tackle that rascally limb. It’s quiet enough not to spoil your arboreal tranquility, and there’s no repugnant exhaust odors. Before you know it you’ll be back to your pastoral reveries.

POWER FOR THE PEOPLE

I bought this saw after big trees came down in my yard. I have two gas units but needed something with a little smaller chain length and ready to go without yanking the arm off my 73 year old body. as always worx tools had the right stuff. Perhaps that why I have over 12 tool from worx in my home.
