[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product to replace my gas powered trimmer. It was a hassle mixing the gas each time. This product works great even on tall grass and the batteries lasted a lot longer than I had planned. I wish that I would have bought it sooner!

Power we've needed

We bought this a month ago and have pleased with the power. We have had gas powered trimmer in the past, but they are a pain to keep tuned and running. So we tried battery powered trimmers and they haven't had enough power to trim our tough grass and weeds. Our new 40V trimmer has the power we need and has no tuning or running problems, very pleased.

Mighty power in a small package

This trimmer is a beast at cutting anything in it's way. Easy to operate, not too heavy and comfortable to use with either left or right hand. I also own the 20V POWER SHARE GT REVOLUTION 12" STRING TRIMMER Item WG170.2 and it's fantastic, I use it for smaller jobs, but it can stand toe to toe with the bigger trimmers no problems. I just wanted something a bit bigger for the water weeds that grow around the house. It cuts better than my gas trimmer and definitely a ton lighter. It doesn't make your arms tired or fatigued. I'm 5'4 and 115lbs. It's easy for me to use as well as my 6'2 husband. It has tons of power. I use my batteries from my other Worx trimmer so I have more cutting time since I have a bigger area to cut. We have about 1/2 acre or a little more and it lasts on the 2 sets (4 total batteries) of batteries to do almost all of it before I have to recharge. I hope it lasts like the other Worx trimmer I have (3 years next month). Shipping was quick and easy. It comes with everything you need to get started. I only wish it had the line feed button like the revolution trimmer does and the spool holder on the trimmer as well.

String Trimmer

I thought I'd give this a try not expecting much having owned battery powered trimmers in past. Boy was I surprised. This thing, although not quite as powerful as a gas trimmer really is impressive. It did everything I wanted it to do, and fast. The run time was about 45 minutes, more than enough time to edge and trim my 3/4 acre property. Recharge was
about an hour. Hope this lasts as I'm very happy with this purchase.

The WG 183 meets the needs of the homeowner when they want a trimmer to complete the lawn with a finished cut. The only improvement would be to include a replacement spool WA 0007 with in the bundle .
