Small but mighty pump!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a mom of 4 boys, and this pump has been an absolute game changer for our busy lifestyle! I have tried multiple brands/styles of pumps over the years and this one is by far my favorite. It is very compact in size and lightweight, making it easy to bring with me anywhere, yet it is still extremely powerful. We've spent time at the Children's Hospital and have used their hospital grade breast pumps many times, and this one is equivalent in its performance but is so much more comfortable (thanks to the PersonalFit Flex Breast Shields). As a mom who pumps 2+ times a day, I'm thankful this one is easy to clean, has a long battery life, has a convenient backlit touch screen for pumping in the dark, and is not loud. So far I have used it on a plane, in the car, at the park, and at home (even while cooking!) with no issues. The app is super helpful and user-friendly, too! It comes with a nice bag but I have preferred to carry it in my much smaller purse/diaper bag. This is one impressive breast pump, and I'm so thankful I was given the opportunity to test it out thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Truly Flex and Free Pump!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a busy nursing mom with more than 1 child, I think this pump is amazing. I'll make this review easy to read by providing bullet points.
1) Ease of use: It's a charge-and-go pump. The accessories snap together easily. It took a couple more steps to download the Medela app and sync it with my phone, but after the initial download, it was intuitive. What I like about the app is that it tells me when the pump needs to be charged.
2) Size: This is the smallest pump in the market (as far as I know). And the shape makes it easy to put flat in the bottom of your bag. You do not need a big bag for this (including the accessories).
3) Charge: Quick charge in about 2 hours. The USB also adds flexibility because now I can charge it on the go with a power pack. And you can pump and charge at the same time!
4) Flexibility: I am free to move! I use the bustier, and I can do multiple things at the same time. I can cook, put make up on, and even pick up toys on the floor! (The closed system is leak-proof so the milk won't spill while you're bending down. Yes!)

Other points:
*) I have an older version of Freestyle and the positioning of the power button was not ideal. I sometimes find the pump turned on because the power button was bumped. Not an issue with this one.
*) Suction power is good. I was worried that the size and/or battery would make it less powerful. I personally did not have any issues and pump about the same amount.
*) It is quieter than other pumps I have used.
*) Medela provides 2 different size breast shields, and these are an upgrade to the old style. Softer, more flexible, and contoured towards breast shape (not just like a funnel anymore). More comfortable and provides greater fit.

In my book, this pump is hands down a winner. The flexibility to do other things while pumping is priceless (I highly recommend getting the bustier). The size and lightness makes it easy to carry anywhere in a non-bulky bag/purse. And most importantly, despite the size, it still performs!

Pumping Any and EVERYWHERE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky to be able to review this pump from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I can tell that a lot of thought has gone into this pump. I have several varieties of pumps. This is now my GO-TO pump for pumping on the go. I am able to charge it once a day and it lasts me up till 2 hours without a charge! It is so discreet and quiet. It is the quietest pump I own. No longer do I need a notebook or another app for pumping, Medela has solved that with the pump that connects to its app. I can see when I last pumped, for how long and I can record how much I've pumped. It is a lifesaver not to have to to a ton of extra work when I am a mom on the go. I am so incredibly happy with the new PersonalFit Flex. Other flanges work but this design has increased my amount of milk and my comfort while doing it. Not only is the design on the flanges smart but the overall pump is so very light for a unit that lasts all day without needing to be recharged. I can stick this in my picket and use a pumping bra and get other things done while I am pumping. This is so very helpful. When you are a mom, it feels like you don't have a second to yourself sometimes and I am able to get everything I need to get done while pumping. I can take this pump anywhere and have. I don't always get the same pumping spot at work so I can be so flexible where I pump because this unit is self-sufficient. This is the first unit I have that has an overflow protection. Especially while moving around, with previous pumps, It has been hard when I shift down and milk goes back into my tubes. This is a waste of milk and a danger to my pumps and cleaning and sanitizing the items, It is a TON of work. I am so very excited about this design because this has never happened with my Medela Freestyle Flex pump. In summation, this pump is made for moms like me, moms on the go, moms that want to provide milk for their children without lugging 100 pounds of things every day. This pump fits into my day and my travel. I am so thankful to be able to review this product. I would recommend asking for this as your travel pump.

The Freestyle Flex Pump

The Freestyle Flex Pump is great. I loved how small it was and it was easy to use. It was stronger than my other pump. When using it, I didn’t get any soreness the way I did with my other pump. Way easier to figure out how to use one pump instead of two. I loved the usb charger, we have family that lives farther away and it made pumping on the go easier. I can fit the Freestyle Flex Pump into the diaper bag instead of having to carry multiple bags. All in all it was a great pump. I received the Freestyle Flex Pump from Stellar Product Testing Panel to test out.

Portable, quiet, effective!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am currently breastfeeding my third baby. This is the fourth pump I have used through my three children and it is by far my favorite. If only I would have had this pump 5 years ago with my first child! Most importantly I am so grateful to have receive this pump now from the Stellar Product Testing Program when my day’s are more chaotic than ever. The size of the pump and the portability are the most beneficial aspect of the pump. I don’t often have much down time to sit and pump without chasing after one of my older two children, so the fact that i am able to easily carry this pump around with me, with one hand at that, is key! It can even fit into a pocket making it completely hands free. Believe it or not i have even cleaned the house while pumping! It is so convenient to take on the go, even in the car. The pump comes with a sleek bag that fits all of the necessary pieces, including a cooler, again, making on the go pumping incredibly easy. I previously had another cordless pump, however, the size didn’t make it nearly as convenient or easy. I find that I am able to get several pumping sessions in between battery charges also.
Aside from the ease of pumping with the Freestyle Flex Pump, the most important aspect to any pump for me is how much milk I am able to produce, as well as, being able to maintain and increase my volume. I found this pump to be very fast and efficient and I have been very pleased with the amount of milk I am producing using this pump.
I highly recommend the Freestyle Flex Pump and I am so thankful that I have finally found such a wonderful pump! Couldn’t have been better timing with my third baby under 5!

Amazing product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the freestyle pump as part of the stellar parent panel and I have nothing but great things to say about it! I loved the size and portability of it! Being able to charge it by USB was great because I could charge it at my desk between sessions. Battery life was fantastic! With this pump, I was able to walk about my house, folding laundry/moving it through, picking up toys and other activities because I wasn’t stuck next to a plug in. I would definitely recommend this pump to other pumping mammas!

Wonderful Portable Pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two children, my youngest being two years old but I still pump twice daily for her (and I work full-time as well.) She does not enjoy dairy milk so I figured I would give her what I can for as long as I can! I have tried a couple of other pumps in the past but I really appreciated the transportability and flexibility of the Medela Freestyle Flex Pump.
I am a teacher so the compact size and the carrying bag made it very easy to bring the pump with me to work so I could pump on my lunch breaks. This pump is much smaller than other ones I have used so I also liked that it was a bit discrete (well as discrete as you can be when pumping!)
I did not really use the USB charger feature on it as I was generally always near an electrical outlet, but I could see how it could be useful in certain situations (traveling, in the car etc.) I ended up buying a pumping bra to hold the flanges in place, but it would be nice if there was a better way to attach/support them that was a part of the pump.
Overall I enjoyed taking this pump with me when I had to work and needed to pump. I would definitely recommend it to new moms if you are looking for something that is easy to take with you and doesn't take up much space. I found this invaluable with my job as I tend to have a lot of bags to carry, made life a little easier!

I bought this soon after it was released, but I really wish I had gotten a different one. It freezes up frequently, requiring for it to be plugged in to reset before it will unfreeze so that you can use the buttons. Sometimes it takes a significant amount of time to reset which is a huge downside because I only have so much time that I can use to pump at work. This is a huge inconvenience as I mostly bought this so that I didn’t have to sit next to an outlet. I literally have to carry my computer around with me at work so that I can plug the cord into my computer when it freezes up. The suction is only equal on both sides about 50% of the time.
There are a few pros:
It’s compact and easy to carry to and from work.
The flex fit of the the flanges are more comfy than just the hard plastic ones.

Cons:
- cost a good bit more than the more traditional ones
- it’s rechargeable, which is great...except for the fact that I’ve had to plug it in for EVERY single use due to the fact that it freezes up so frequently
