Freedom to pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this breast pump. I was considering purchasing a handsfree pump for a while, so I was very glad to be able to review this model.
I've been using Medela pumps for years and was never disappointed with their quality. This one was no exception. It's carefully packaged, and comes with a comprehensive user manual. The suction power was enough for me, but I could still go few levels higher if needed. The collection cups consist of only three parts, which is a very positive feature to me. It is straightforward to assemble/disassemble, saving a lot of time when using and cleaning.
I don't pump outside my house, so I can't vouch for discretion when in public. I can, however, attest that it's a great pump to use while multitasking. Walking, reading, cooking, and other house chores were the activities I was able to do during my pumping sessions.
The motor unit is easy to use and charge. The only thing I wish it came with is a clip to hook on to my clothes whenever I'm not wearing an outfit with generous pockets. For those who love to record every pumping session, there's an app we can download and connect to the pump via bluetooth.
My experience with the Freestyle Handsfree Pump has been very positive. I highly recommend it to those who don't enjoy sitting down for every pumping session.

The Medela Freestyle Hands Free Double Electric

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Medela Freestyle Hands Free Double Electric Pump as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and couldn't be more happy with it!
The Freestyle Double is the third Medela pump I have tried. Though I was happy with all three of them, this model is hands down the best for anyone who pumps frequently or who doesn't have time to sit and hold a pump multiple times a day.
My baby needs a lot of attention and likes to be held a lot. She is also not the best at breastfeeding so we almost exclusively pump. Until now, I had been using a single side pump that needed to be held. With the Freestyle Hands Free Double Electric pump, I can pump in half the time while doing housework or playing with my little one.
This pump has great suction and fit and was easy to place in my bra. It did take some getting used to since it has very different parts than other Medela pumps. But once I got the hang of it, it became my primary pump.
I've gone from pumping 6 hours a day down to 3 and can get things done while I do it! I really recommend that anyone hoping to pump that they invest in this model. It really works well and saves time.
One note for moms who have very small nipples. This model may not work quite as well for you since there are fewer options for size ranges. But if that isn't the concern this is the model to get.
The Freestyle Hands Free Double Electric is one of the higher end Medela pumps. But if you want to pump long term it is absolutely worth it to save you time and frustration.

I love this pump!! As an exclusive pumper this pump works wonders. But I can not seem to find where to purchase pump parts for the hands free pump.

First Choice for Exclusive Pumper

I have several pumps in my closet, but as an exclusive pumper, this is the one I reach for every time (even when I'm parked on the couch). I love that I'm not tied to the wall, it's quiet and doesn't limit my movement. The in-bra cups are nice when I'm pumping around my in-laws or babysitters. As a just-enougher, I'm not willing to sacrifice my supply for *anything* and these cups deliver the same output as any non-portable option I've tried.

Allows me to pump for my twins ANYWHERE

I've been using this pump for ten months and absolutely adore it. I have twins and a three year old and early on it allowed me to get those extra pumping sessions in to keep up my milk supply for my twins while also getting to spend time with the older kid.
Now I take this pump everywhere, especially now that I'm back to traveling for work (my twins are a year). I've pumped while driving my minivan (peak mom moment!), on planes, in the park, at restaurants, in the theatre, the subway, on the beach, on the Chicago Architecture boat tour. It would probably be easier to say places I haven't pumped. I'm pretty shameless, or rather, I'm normalizing pumping/breastfeeding moms, right?!
But seriously, I definitely wouldn't have the milk supply I have today that (mostly) supports my twins if I didn't have this pump. I have the Medela Symphony, which was a dream for my first but you're tied to the wall, which for a second/third time mom is impossible. My two babes are a chunky 25 lbs each because of this pump!
The only feedback would be that it would be helpful to have a plug or cover over the holes at the top (where the milk pours out) so milk doesn't come out the top when you bend over, or move quickly, or once you're done pumping (and poured the milk out into a container) to keep the residue from leaking out.
But definitely get this pump if you are a second time mom or have twins, it will save your milk supply!!!

Super durable pump

This breast pump is my favorite! I love the hands free discrete cups you can pump anywhere with modesty.
I was absolutely devastated when my husband drove off with it on the roof of the car and it went flying off at 50 miles per hour. We pulled over found it and miraculously it still worked! It’s a little scratched up but I still use it almost every day and pump! Thank you for making good quality products for sleep deprived parents!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pump is an update to the old freestyle Medela has in its pump line up, though this convenient pump is a nice option there is room for improvement. Medela doesn’t need to add a pump like this, the gold standard in pump gear should really make something similar to the willow and elvie pumps (hubs you pop in your nursing bra with no wires). This pump doesn’t have the typical rhythm known to the other Medela pumps, but it was nice to attach this pump to a lanyard, wear my pumping bra and go about my day. Be warned you can’t change a diaper wearing this, but you can fold laundry. I like the connectors to the pump, they don’t pop out too far like the other traditional connectors (pump in style, hospital grade Medela symphony), and this pump is labeled as a closed system, which is good for breastmilk hygiene. It was nice to be able to charge this pump in my car or my desk at work, since it is a usb charger. I am not a fan of the flex shields as they were painful compared to the traditional Medela flanges, but I was able to use my other Medela flanges so that worked out. I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

So tiny Yet Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! I was amazed when I opened up my pump (it was a tester) from Stellar Testing Panel - it is so small!! It literally fits in the palm of your hand. I was also a little wary, too, because how could it be very powerful if it was so small?
Well, I needn't have worried, because it pumps and gets just as much milk as my pump from the insurance company that is more than twice it's size. It's as good, yet it can go anywhere, even more places, because guess what?
You can CHARGE it up! Yup! You can pump absolutely anywhere, because you don't need a wall plug to use it! You can also use it plugged in if you want to. This really changed the game for me. I have older kids, too, so that means girl scout meetings, sports practice, and lots of general "running around", and there is not always an outlet available when I need one.
You can even charge this in your car if you have a USB port charger. So you can pump, charge it while you're driving to the next thing, and pump again. This is really good if you are trying to build up your milk supply.
One more amazing thing that most pumps don't have that this one does ---- BLUETOOTH! Now, the range isn't very far, so you can't leave your phone in the car and go into a building and think it will work. But if you have your phone in your pocket, purse next to you, or even a few feet away in the hands of your older kid playing a game on it, it will work. You can use the Bluetooth to send the data from your pumping session to the MyMedela app (which is free). It transfers the time you pumped and the intensity. This is Handy because you can look at the data and see if there are certain times/days that you pump more or less.
To sum it up, WOW, this pump is awesome!
