Great pump with small room for improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive this pump from Stellar Product Testing Panel! I've always wanted to try a wearable breast pump but I was unfamiliar with the brands that offer them. They are costly and I did not want to invest in one in case it didn't work well, so I always pumped with a traditional double electric pump. I was using Medela Freestyle Flex prior to receiving Freestyle Hands Free, and there are pros/cons to each.
PROS:
- Firstly, I absolutely LOVE how discreet and compact this pump is. This is truly a hands free pump that you can wear under your shirt and no one would even know (except for the fact that your cup size would increase by 3x). It's quieter than a traditional pump. While you can also be 'hands free' with a pumping bra while using the Flex, it was bulky and the pump parts/bottles would get in the way sometimes. The Flex is also far from discreet and I always worried I would accidentally knock into something and cause spillage. That is not a concern at all with the wearable pump. It stays securely inside your bra and does the job effectively.
PROS:

- There are only 3 parts to clean (per side) which makes the clean up less of a hassle.
- There's no compromise on the suction. I find the suction to be comparable to what I was used to with the Flex.
- It is super easy to pour the milk out from the shells and it is less likely to spill. With the Flex, you have to unscrew the bottles from the pump parts while the bottles are full. This means there's more chance for you to spill because there's a lot more handling involved. With the wearable pump, you just pour directly into a bag/bottle.
CONS:
- It is more difficult to see if you have placed your nipple correctly (i.e. in the middle of the shield). Since the 'tunnel' of the shield is inside the shell which you then need to place inside your bra, you can't really look to see if you've positioned it right. This is just the nature of a wearable pump and you'll have to get used to it.

- There is a fill level on the outer shell but it's impossible to get an accurate reading if you use that. When you place the shells on the table, they stand freely on an angle. However, the fill level reading is not on the same angle so the milk is slanted towards one side. You will have to pour it into a bottle to get an accurate reading. For someone like me who freezes all the milk I pump, I cannot pour directly into a bag. I must use a bottle to get a reading before I freeze the milk in a bag.
Overall, I think this is a great pump and I've since replaced my Flex with this one. I can pump anywhere discreetly and effectively. I'm so glad Medela decided to make a wearable pump so even though it's new, you know it's a brand that you can trust!
Note: There isn't a lot of milk in the photo that I provided because I just nursed prior to pumping. This is in no way reflective of the effectiveness of the pump.

Freestyle Hands Free Pump is truly hands free

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been an occasional pumper for about 8 months now, with an EBF baby. I wish this pump was available when I first started! I would have never bought another. It is so comfortable, easy to use, and easy to clean.
I received this breast pump from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and since then I have never used another pump again. As an occasional pumper, my priority is ease of use and portability. This absolutely tops the charts for both counts. I've used it with a variety of styles of bras and it's easy to tuck it in and go about whatever I'm doing. No more bottles sticking out front, and wrangling an awkward pumping bra!! That's easily my favourite part. I can curl up on the couch at a comfortable angle, pick up baby/dog/other creatures without them yanking on it, or do whatever household task needs to get done. This pump has not gotten in the way of a single thing.
This pump appears to be as effective as my older, traditional styled pumps, as my output has been around the same per pumping session. As a disclaimer though, this is with a couple pump sessions in a week, not using it full time over a long period. If I was going to nitpick about one aspect of the pump I found less than ideal, it's the volume markings on the sides. I had a hard time determining the volume I had pumped, and had to pour off into another container to check for sure. Now that I've used it more, I can eyeball it better, but it doesn't feel as precise as other containers.
Overall, I absolutely love this pump, it's the one I reach for every single time. I appreciate how easy it is to tuck it in to whatever I'm already wearing and go about my day. It truly delivers on the hands free experience.

New Medela hands free pump has become my go to

most used pump! I have always in the past used the regular freestyle flex and I was surprised at how good the suction was in the wearable pump. It is comparable to the flex, which I haven’t experienced in a wearable pump before. Pair that with the ease of being able to pump on the go and this is now the pump I use daily. The only two things I would change about this pump is making it easier to transfer milk at the end of a pumping session and I wish the electronic pump could somehow be attached to my clothes instead of on my wrist with the loop. So happy to have this pump and I use it everyday for daycare pickup!

Game changing hands free breast pump

This pump was easy to use, discreet and I was able to multitask around the house at the same time. The settings and suction on this pump were great for milk expression and I feel yielded a good quantity of milk. I did feel on some occasions I needed to empty the collector and continue on. This pump was very user friendly and easy to figure out without having to continue back and forth to the instructions.
The size of this pump was great although at times depending on the time of the day I wish it held more volume of milk. Otherwise it was fabulous I was able to pump while washing dishes and picking up around the house. I loved that instead of being stuck in a stationary position pumping I was able to multitask and get chores done. I even wore it in my car to pick groceries up curbside. My favorite feature of this pump is its ergonomical design and how well it sits and fits. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this breast pump.

Breast Pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Using the pump with my second baby it was very beneficial. It was nice not having to be stationary while pumping. I found that being so mobile also allowed me to pump for a longe period of time. Having a usb charger is also another great feature! One thing I did notice was that the actual pump was loud and had a big vibration. I wouldn't leave it on the table while pumping because it was very disruptive. The parts were easy to clean and assemble! The fit of the cup was hard to see if it was a good fit, I found it hard to see if I had placed them on properly or not. That being said I would definitely recommend this product to a friend, especially a busy mom with multiple children!

Finally a great hands free pump

I'm a huge fan of the Medela Freestyle Flex - it's been my go to pump since I started breastfeeding and I'm so glad they have a hands free option. There is a reason that Medela is the first brand that comes to mind when you think of breast pumps. They make quality products that are so easy to use, and this one does not disappoint!
I loved how discrete this pump was. It wasn't loud or cumbersome. I would wear it in any bra so it didn't mean I had to do a full wardrobe change before going to use it. You could just throw it on and use it! I also love It's compact size, which makes it so easy to transport! It's so easy to put together and I'm sure even a beginner pumper could use it.
As a mother, I often feel like I'm juggling 5 things at once and it can be hard to find time to sit and pump for 15-20 minutes. With this breast pump, I can continue with my day, including doing things like doing the dishes, folding laundry, or cleaning up toys, or even chasing a crawling baby. Before this pump, I felt like I had to be so calculated about when I would pump but now I can pump as I go!
I would definitely recommend this pump to anyone looking for a new breast pump. It's my new go to one!

Practical breast pump for a busy mom

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m so pleased that Madela, my trusted name brand has a new wearable breast pump added to their product line, the Freestyle Hands Free Double Electric Breast Pump.
I’ve used several models of Madela breast pumps throughout the years with 3 kids because of its reliability and efficiency to pump the most milk. I’ve used their hospital grade and personal grade machines and they all performed great.
For my 4th baby, I opted for a wearable pump from another brand to be able to multi task and pump at the same time. I was so excited to use the Freestyle Hands Free Double Electric Breast Pump.
After a few sessions, I noticed that I am able to pump more than my other wearable pump. Maintenance is easy, I like that there are only 3 pieces per side to wash. Putting them back together is foolproof and the pieces always have a good seal.
Unlike my other wearable pump, I like that the motor is not attached above the cups so it’s easier to conceal and the unit is more discreet to wear. It’s also light and the shape fits comfortably. I usually use it while doing housework and cooking and am able to move freely. I’ve used it during car drives and stroller walks, it’s very convenient for on-the-go.
The only feature I would like to add is a belt clip or a holster to attach the machine to. When I’m using it, I have to wear pants or a sweatshirt with pockets to put the machine in. This has become my go-to pump for daily use because of its effectiveness, portability, and easy maintenance. I plan on continuing to use this pump when I return to work.

This Pump Gets The Party Pumping

The shape is so natural and more contoured to fit into any bra and protrudes much less than other hands free pumps I’ve tried. The pump is fantastic for use when walking around taking care of errands around the house, and even discreet enough to pump during my morning commute. The whole assembly is super lightweight, which is nice when in my bra it doesn’t weigh me down very much. The pumping mechanism works unbelievably well for such a small and portable pump. The little flat portion on the bottom to make sure the unit sits upright instead of tipping over–pure genius. I especially love how easy and intuitive the pieces are to take apart, clean , and put back together; only 3 pieces vs the 5-6 that most others have is life changing. Also love the fantastic design and colors of the pump. Overall super “pumped” for another great product courtesy of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Thank you!!
