Great pump for on-the-go moms!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I am not disappointed. I have used close to every pump on the market so I consider myself somewhat of a breast pump snob. This pump is super easy to use and makes pumping anywhere incredibly easy with its rechargeable battery. I have a 40 minute commute each day and have been using this pump on my drive to and from work and it has made such a difference in my day and in my supply. Before this pump, I would have to wake up 30 minutes earlier to pump at home before I left. After this pump, I can wake up at my usual time, get in my car, hook myself up to the pump, and drive to work. My favorite part is not worrying about finding an outlet in order to pump. The USB charger is great for charging in the car if needed and the battery life is insane. I've used this pump at least 15 times and it still has at least 50% battery life. The one and only complaint that I have is that the suction has almost a vibrating feel, which I'm not a fan of. Otherwise I think this is absolutely necessary for working moms, traveling moms, and moms with other kids who simply can't sit connected to the wall to pump.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Comfortable Freestyle Flex Pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I breastfed and pumped for my first kid and now am doing the same for my second baby. I have used many breast pumps, as I am always on the look out for a product to help with my journey in providing breastmilk for my baby and balancing being a mom and a having a career.
Qualities of a good pump that I was looking for that Freestyle Flex Pump has:
1. Efficient - able to actually pump milk in a short period of time. The Freestyle emptied my milk but was not as efficient as other pumps.

2. Comfort - very comfortable, the new design of flex silicone flanges are a great idea, makes it easily adaptable to many breast shapes, and doesn't leave an imprint like some other flanges.
3. Portability - small pump able to move around easily, I would say still a handful in size, would still sag your pants if you clip it on.
4. Easy to clean - 4 parts including bottle, which is on par with other pumps
5. Easy to charge - Since it has a USB charger can even bring a portable charger to charge the pump.
Qualities that I would like in a pump that Freestyle does't allow me to do:
1. Noise Level - Loud pumping noise, and the pump vibrates while it pumps

2. Public pumping - I could pump at home and walk around with it but would not be able to pump in public as you still need a special handsfree bra where your nipples will still show through. The bottle and flange still stick out and take up a good amount of room.
3. Set up time includes putting on a handsfree bra, lifting whole shirt up, placing flanges in and then pumping, and taking handsfree bra and switching to another bra. This process needs to be streamlined.
My ideal pump would allow me slip the pump into my current bra and pump under my shirt covered. I would like to be able to pump in public/at work/going to a movie theater/ out at dinner or lunch with my coworkers because I don't want to be hiding in a room/car or I am running after my toddler so I can't be tied down to a wall.
The Freestyle Flex Pump has most of the qualities that I am looking for but honestly there are other pumps that surpass it (even another pump from this same company). I was honestly hoping that there would be a cordless pump that I could pump in public that fits in my bra.
I was given this pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This is my honest opinion as I hope this helps other mom's find the pump that fits them best.

Small but Mighty!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Medela Freestyle Flex is such a blessing to travel with! I'm a second time mom, and have used two other pumps, but this one was by FAR the quietest and smallest without sacrificing suction. As you can see in the pictures, it's about the size of my hand or the size of the flange with 5oz Medela bottle attached. It fit easily into my diaper bag. I was skeptical when I first received it, as I'm used to larger pumps and still needing to up the suction to increase output, yet I was very pleased with the ease of use and the results I got. I love the Bluetooth compatibility with my phone, and it makes tracking pumps super easy. The USB charge with a dream to use, especially in a hotel room when outlets can sometimes be hidden or scarce. I also really liked the new flanges with the comfort edges, this was a nice upgrade from my previous pregnancy with all plastic flanges. Also, the pump bag is discreet and the cooler bag and ice pack is so so handy going back and forth from work! My one complaint is that the Freestyle Flex's membrane system is different than the other Medela pump I use, so I cannot interchange them, and it is slightly bulkier than the other Medela flange system. Overall though, that is such a small complaint when faced with how convenient (but SO effective) this little pump is. I'm super fortunate to have received this pump through Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for an honest review.

Super Convenient!

The Medela Freestyle Flex is hands down my favorite pump! I am a busy working mom who has to pump at work to provide milk for my 8 month old son. I have 4 breastpumps but none compare to the Freestyle Flex. The compact size and portability is my favorite feature. I have pumped while vacuuming, while eating at a restaurant, and while on vacation at the airport. I am currently on vacation and I am not concerned with returning to my hotel room to recharge the pump. The battery lasts a long time and if necessary I could simply recharge via USB with a portable power pack. This is such a convenient feature. My third favorite feature is the personal fit flexible breastshield. The soft rim and angled shape added so much comfort to my pumping experience. Overall, the pump is truly quiet and compact enough not to interfere with any activities that I am performing. It was incredibly easy to set up right out of the box. The display screen on the unit is simple and easy to navigate. This pump represents the Medela brand name very well because the suction is excellent and does a great job at comfortably removing breastmilk. This is the MOST important feature and I am just blown away at how effective this pump is at quickly removing milk. Other portable pumps often sacrifice effectiveness for portability but that is not the case with the Freestyle Flex. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this pump. It is a game changer for sure.

Not so - I noticed an equal amount of output vs. my standard electric pump. The PersonalFit Flex shields were also very comfortable. I usually need to buy smaller off-brand shields with my pumps, but 21 mm shields were included and fit great. My one complaint is that you can't exactly pump "wherever you go." The shields, connectors, and bottles are about the size of a standard pump, so you'll need to be covered up if you were try to pump in public. The pump is easily held in one hand, but it's too bulky for most of my pockets, so when I walked around, I wasn't fully hands-free. However, I did like that that I could comfortably get ready in front of my bathroom mirror. The wireless capability also made it pretty easy to pump on one side while holding my colicky baby on the other side. I also look forward to being able to pump in the car when I go back to work; since it's recharged via USB, I'll be able to use it even if I forget to charge beforehand. All in all, this is a great pump that allows you to move around while pumping - but likely, just in the comfort of your own home. Nice and compact

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try the Freestyle Flex as I had never tried a Medela pump before. The pump itself is really compact and easy to toss in a purse or tote bag. I am a bit of a tech nerd, so was also excited to see it connected to an app. However, after trying it for a few weeks I was a little disappointed. Compared to my normal pump my output with this pump was just not as much. It doesn't have adjustments to the cycle speed outside of letdown mode, just the suction which I could turn all the way up with no issues. I liked the comfort fit flanges and appreciated it came with both 21 and 24mm. However, with the trends in pumping leaning towards totally hands-free devices - I was more hopefully that this would allow for more freedom than a regular pump. It does not, you are still connected with traditional flange/bottles and tubing. The main highlight here is the pump itself is small. This won't replace my main pump I use at work due to its performance but it's nice to use in the car on the go or as a backup option. A Game Changer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Freestyle Flex Pump is a real game changer for me and for my family. I have two active boys under the age of 3, and my 21 month old still needs breast milk because of some health issues and allergies. With children this age, we are constantly on the go, and this pump allows me to discretely pump anywhere! With my wool parka on for privacy, I can pump at the playground, in the car, while vacuuming or making meals, and while playing around the house with my boys. The compact size fits easily into my purse or pocket, and not being tied to a bulky, plugged-in pump mechanism makes life so much easier! This is such a contrast to my pumping experience 3 years ago with my first child when I had to pump plugged into an outlet near the couch every time.
This pump is easy to use and the parts are easy to clean. The carrying bag is discrete, compact, and easily wipes down. Additionally, the ability to charge the pump via USB is convenient and I can also do this in the car! This convenience does not hinder the power or effectiveness of the pump either. It is just as strong and efficient as other pumps I have used in the past. This pump was made for busy mothers! Thank you to Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this pump!
