Best pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this pump to test as part of the Stellar product testing panel and I was not disappointed in the “stellar” pump. I can honestly say it was super easy to figure out, use and even clean. It was compact and convenient to use. I have a lazy right boob and my daughter prefers the left so this pump was honestly such a game changer as I could pump on my right while nursing her on my left. I could never do that with my bulky pump and bottles before. I am able to move around freely with this pump. I even save time and can pump while driving, it is that easy and discreet. I would have never pumped in the car with massive bottles hanging off my chest before. This pump has a strong pull but doesn’t hurt or rub on your nipples. The cup capacity was also large enough to collect express milk and the transfer was even better, “no crying over spilled milk”. Very easy and spill proof transfer to a bottle. I have very large breasts now, so the only thing that I would change would be the shape of the cups, my boobs would kind of spill over the smaller size but overall, not a big deal and didn’t affect any pumping ability. The pump parts were easy to clean, dried quickly and the click made it foolproof that is was back together properly. I am very happy with this pump, the power and overall look. I don’t mind pumping in front of people and now I don’t need to hide out in a room to get a very common thing done. Battery life is great and the settings on the actual pump are easy to figure out. Another awesome feature about this pump is being able to change how the tubing attaches to the cups!! How cool is that?! I also loved the app and how it tracked my pumping. I would highly recommend this product to anyone! Thanks again!!

Must try the Freestyle Hands Free Breast Pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Freestyle Hands Free Double Electric Breast Pump from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I had my eye on a similar product so I was very excited when I found out I could try this one. I exclusively breastfeed my little guy and recently began pumping a bottle only at nighttime. I already own the Medela Freestyle Flex Double Electric Pump but I was looking to try something more hands free to encourage me to start pumping a little more to build my freezer stash. I must say, I do love the fact that this pump fits easily into any nursing bra and is super compact. I also LOVE that there are only 3 parts to clean, makes it incredibly easy and fits nicely into my sanitizer which is another bonus. I unfortunately don’t think it is as strong as the Freestyle Flex pump when it comes to extracting all of the milk from my breasts; if there were a few more higher levels it might do the trick! I was also a bit disappointed that it isn’t 100% hands free. It still does come with that little battery system like the freestyle flex, so that part is still being carried around on your wrist or pocket and is sometimes a bit challenging. Nonetheless, it is still super convenient, very portable and overall does the trick. I am very happy I got to try this pump and would definitely still recommend it to another mama.

Game changer of a pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great pump for a mum on the go. It slips easily into my bra and I almost forgot I was pumping. I did find it a little difficult to know when let down had occurred because I couldn't see it and of course didn't know how much I was pumping until I was done.
With my first child I pumped upon my return to work when he was 6 months and whike I had a good pump then this Medela handsfree is a HUGE improvement in terms of ease of use, setup and cleaning. I tidied the kitchen, did laundry, carried my baby and generally continued along with my day while pumping.
I would caveat this review by stating that I only pump occasionally with my current baby so I can't speak to long term efficacy. I am not pumping to exclusively feed but rather so that I have a small stash for when someone else watches my baby. With that caveat, the handsfree seemed to be quite effective and I got the same.amount of milk as with my more traditional pump.
The pump was also extremely easy to clean and set up - this is definitely going to be my go to travel pump from now on!
The only downside of this pump is that the screen is quite responsive so it sometimes changed modes when it brushed against something else. I'd love a lock screen function but with everything else on offer this is a small quibble. I would also note that it isn't exactly subtle - I definitely went up a bra size or two and my bust did not look natural - but definitely more subtle than having flanges and bottles hanging off your breasts!!!
I was given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I plan on continuing to use this one as my main pump for this baby!

This pump was good.
It was easy to put together. Thankfully not too many parts to wash. Super simple to use. The timer was a great feature to have. The 9 levels of suction was great as well

The cups were a good discreet size but the tubes that connect to it made it not so discreet. I could use the pump anywhere I wanted but I also found carrying the pump around a little annoying. I would have preferred something attached to the cups. It was also very loud.
I wasn’t able to really go around and do much with this pump. I tried to vacuum and do simple things like use my printer but unfortunately the pump “pack” got in the way. I could get up move from room to room, not being attached to an outlet was nice but getting chores and things around the house done weren’t as easy as I hoped.
Another thing I found a little frustrating was the holes on top. Maybe something to cover that would be nice so I can put them down without worrying about the cup falling over and spilling all the milk. It happened to me once and I was not impressed.

Overall, I will continue to use this pump. The pump was comfortable and the suction was really good. I appreciate the 9 levels but I wish the pump itself was a little smaller. Even something I could fit into my pocket would be better.
Not giving it 5 stars bc of the pump size and the cups to falling over spilling.

Breast Pump for Moms on the Go

The pump was easy to wear, it was comfortable and quiet while pumping. Pumped milk was easy to pour into bottles/pouches for later use.
When needing to clean the pump and it's parts after use, it was much easier than previous pumps I had tried. The parts to take apart were minimal and washed easily. I was able to put everything back together, once dry, quickly and have it ready to go for my next pumping session.
The hands free control had user friendly controls and the screen lit up well to see if I had to pump in the dark. The only downfall, for me, was the controller only had a wristlet to use. I would have preferred to have a clip on it to attached to a belt or pocket to make it truly hands free.
Overall, I would highly recommend this product to breast pumping moms and future moms.

Pumping that sucks in a good way

As a second time parent, I am well into my nursing/pumping journey and have used three different pumps so far. I really liked that this pump is easy to travel with. There are minimal parts which means it's less likely you'll forget something! Although it's handy to bring with you, it's still really obvious that you're pumping. The shells stick out really far so it's not discreet. However it's really nice to get something hands free without an extra bra, and because they fit into your bra they don't get caught on things or risk falling off.

It's designed to hold about 5 Oz of milk per side. I ended up overflowing one time because it's hard to judge how much is coming out when you're pumping. The plastic fogs up so you can't clearly see your nipple placement. I wish there was a better method of viewing output while you're pumping. That being said, I loved how easy it was to pour the milk out after pumping. The design is great!
The pump parts are really easy to clean and have large enough components that you don't worry about milk getting stuck in a nook or cranny.
I wish the electronic unit itself had some sort of way to lock it. I kept hitting buttons accidentally while doing other things.
Important to note - the pump is only designed to work for 250 hours. This might not be a deal breaker for some, but at a hefty price tag I'd be reluctant to pay for a pump that won't even give me 4 months of regular pumping.

AMAZING pump

I am a mom of 4 so you can imagine how busy life is. Between running errands, to school, to extra curriculars, we are always on the go. My youngest are a set of twins who are EBF.
This pump is everything it says it is. Hands free (has a strap to put around your wrist), no special bra needed, no wires, small, quiet..it's amazing! It comes with different inserts for different nipple sizes as well which is very convenient. This pump has afforded me the option of giving a bottle in public instead of whipping a boob out. Compared to other pumps on the market, it has easily been the best as far as expressing a lot in a short amount of time.
Instead of being attached to a cord, I was able to play tag, hide and seek, and play outside with my kids which is priceless. The suction is fantastic and doesn't budge.
The *only* reason I'm rating this 4 stars is because price point.

The Medela Freestyle Hands Free Pump is GREAT

I wanted something that had the power of a double electric pump and that also was hands free and this is the pump for me! I love the suction that you get with this pump, and the ability to pop it into most bras without having to get a specific pumping bra! The fact that the collection containers are curved allow them to slip into a regular bra really easily.
The only thing that is a bit challenging is the size and weight of the actual pump. I completely get that to have the suction power you need a pump that is of some size, I just wish that it was a bit more portable.
Overall I am extremely happy with the performance! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending over this new Medela pump!
