Handy hands free pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Medela Freestyle Hands Free Double Electric pump as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I was really great full I did! This pump is so easy to use and clean. I really enjoyed how simple it was to set up the first time, as well as the routine care and cleansing requirements. This pump was easier to keep clean than others I’ve used. I was able to work, travel, and take care of both my little ones while wearing this pump without worrying about it spilling or falling out. It was a bit louder than I expected, but still quiet. I love this pump and would recommend it to all busy mamas who love to multitask!

Multitask yes please

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hands free pump is exactly that. A hands free which is a solution for any mom, since we are wanting to be able to multitask. This pump is light weight making it super easy to bring around with you AND the fact you can put the flanges in your regular bra makes for savings of buying a pump bra. I would definitely say it was super effective on getting milk. Even putting it up to the highest level for pumping it’s not painful at all. A couple things I would say is while it is discreet it does seem like the suction could be stronger or your milk will spill or not make it into the cups. The cups still need some support to stay in place. Or possibly just use a stronger bra to hold them in place. The battery life on the pump is not as good as I thought. Doesn’t last the longest and I only pump a couple times a day. So for someone that’s an exclusive pumper be mindful of that. Although the pump battery doesn’t last long, it does charge super fast.
The one thing that matters the most to me is enduring no milk goes to waste. Unfortunately this pump has a little bit of spillage. The instructions show to leave forward when ur finishing up so all the mill can go down into the cups, but even doing that I still had milk get wasted since it didn’t make it into the cup. I had to pour the milk from the flange first. And then pour the rest out through the top. Little bit of a nuisance. The other thing to note is you NEED to make sure you flanges click into the cup. If not they will pop off and that could get messy.

Good pump but could be improved

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this breast pump. I was so stoked to receive it just in time to return to work from maternity leave.
Previously I had been using the regular Medela freestyle Flex so I was familiar with the pump itself and excited to have a more discreet and hands free alternative for being out and about in the world again.
The freestyle flex came highly recommended by our lactation consultant and I have found both it and this new hands free version to be of good quality, easy to use and quite effective.
This hands free pump is easier to clean and doesn’t require a bottle brush as it’s three simple pieces that come apart easily. It is fairly discreet (you just look quite busty while wearing it) and It’s great not having to wear a pumping bra as it just tucks right into any bra. That said it isn’t as great as I had hoped for multitasking. There are holes at the top of the cups to pour out the milk and so when you lean over when wearing it, to pick up your baby for example milk spills out everywhere. Having a way to close those while pumping would be a game changer! The cups are also quite tippy when set on the counter so you may often find yourself crying over spilled milk.
Overall I like the Medela freestyle pumps and would recommend this over the original freestyle flex because it does afford you somewhat more freedom but it doesn’t really let you get on with certain things, like caring for your babe how I had hoped. A small tweak to the design would go a long way to making this a really awesome pump.

Truly hands free

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Medala's new Freestyle Hands Free Double Electric Breast Pump for free from the Stellar Product Testing Panel to test.
I should mention that I have been breastfeeding the last 7 years between 3 children. This is my third child and I wish this existed when i was breasfeeding my 2 older children
I have been using this pump for 2 weeks daily. Since I received it I have been pumping much more because it is truly a hands free experience. I love that I can tuck it into my nursing bra and not have bottles attached to me.
It's very discrete. I wear my sweater over it and you can not tell that I'm wearing it. I also sometimes pump only one breast while I nurse in the opossite breast to help with milk production because I lm guilty of nursing on the same side majority of the time.
The suction is strong, it has 9 levels and I usually use the strongest suction.
It's very easy to clean and there aren't tiny parts which I love.
I use it usually while I'm doing errands like cooking dinner or washing dishes. I bring it everywhere if I know I'm going to be out for hours. I have even used it in the car. This definitely has made pumping easier for me because I don't have to schedule time to sit down in my day.
I'm going to use it when I go back to work . I'm thinking I can pump in the car on my way home too which is amazing.
I do not find the pump to be quiet. I find it just as loud as any regular pump.
There is an app that you can connect to the pump and track how much milk you pump and how long you pump for as well .
I was under the impression that you can control the pump from the app which you cannot. Also wish that in came with a travel pouch.
I'm so happy that I'm fortunate to have this now. I definitely recommend this to all moms on the breastfeeding journey. This is a must have

Love the hands free pump

Loved this Medela pump. It’s the same great quality I’ve come to expect from Medela. The suction was great and I’ve been able to pump a few times before even seeing the battery level drop. The product comes with two sizes of flanges which was great because I needed the smaller one and didn’t need to buy it separately. The tubing comes out the top of the bra inserts so it doesn’t get kinked and affect the pumping/suction. It fit easily into my nursing bra I currently wear. The collection cups are big enough for my daytime pumping needs! I was able to clean up around the house, prepare lunches, and do sitting stretches while wearing the pump. A clip to attach it to the top of my pants would be the only additional feature I can think of that I’d change. Overall, a great product that’s easy to use and assemble with only 3 parts!

Game changer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I normally breastfeed and pump a few times a week to keep a freezer stash. Compared to my previous hands free pump I LOVE this pump so much better.
Pros: it’s very light, comfortable to wear and easy to clean. I didn’t feel pain at all or discomfort even at level 9. I’ve never pumped this much milk in one 20 minutes sitting!!! I also wasn’t counting down for it to be over because it was very comfortable.
Cons: The pump is connected to an external pump which vibrates the entire time and has to be put into your pocket, it shut off the first time I put it in my pocket, it would be better if we could lock the screen. It’s not too loud and the sound doesn’t wake baby. Would love if it had a carrying case but fits nicely into my diaper bag. I tried not too move too much to avoid getting milk in the tubing but I was able to wash dishes. Overall I’m very impressed and will only use this pump only moving forward. Convenience and Flexibility are Key

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Medela Freestyle hands free pump offers a lot of flexibility and convenience for busy moms on the go! As a mom of twins, having a pump that fit inside my nursing bra and allowed me to multitask was fantastic! I could literally pump while making dinner! The pump itself is compact with great battery life. The charge is also quick and convenient, making this a great option for a busy mom, a working mom, or a mom on the road.
As mentioned, the breast milk collectors fit in my nursing bra and stayed put without needing to readjust or fidget. What this pump offers in convenience, in lacks in efficiency though. I found it took twice the time to collect the same volume of milk as other Medela pumps. This may be a deterring factor for someone looking to express quickly or for someone exclusively pumping.
The pump is also Bluetooth equipped to run off an app, however I found the app to glitch and was not something I had time to play around with. The pump works just fine without using the app. It also has only a few pieces that need to be washed / sterilized, making the cleaning portion quick as well.
The Freestyle pump is an excellent option for someone looking for flexibility, compact design, and hands free capability.

Amazing pump that I wish I had sooner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Freestyle Hands Free Double Electric Breast Pump through the Stellar Panel Product Testing panel. After using it the first time, I can confidently say that I wish I had this right after I had my baby - IT IS A GAME CHANGER. Here's why. Firstly, i's incredibly comfortable to wear. Second, the suction is great. Third, it's easy to clean.
I travel frequently and it's important I have a discreet and easy-to-use pump - this checks all the boxes. I was worried that a hands-free pump wouldn't require a special pumping bra in order for it to fit properly and this definitely fits great. Overall I'm very impressed with this product.
