Battery stopped fully charging after 3 months

You'll need to connect the pump to the wall outlet, turn it on, and then hold down the power button for 10 seconds. Once that is done, charge the pump for a full 2 hours. pump stopped turning on

I bought this three months ago and unfortunately it hasn’t been working for me . I use this pump as my go to pump now and it was working great but it stopped working . Fully charged and I can’t get it to turn on and it’s really difficult for me since I rely on it very much . I haven’t been able to get in contact with medela support :(
I would recommend this to a friend!

This plus the app is awesome

I’m currently attempting to re-lactate as I originally had the pump in style & forgot I was attached to the wall…. And well it’s broken now. So needless to say that taught me a lesson that I needed one that I didn’t have to be plugged to the wall with and this is it! I went from producing barely 5mls to now 2oz each session which I’m still trying to build up but only on day 5 of this process. The suction is great! The portability is the absolute best. The pump it’s self weighs practically nothing and I can hang it off my wrist to walk around to get things done. The fact that I can pump and then a couple hours later go onto the app to see the session right there and add how many oz I pumped is spectacular (nevermind all the other things the app can track). I do kind of wish the battery lasted longer than 2hrs but, 2hrs is a million times better than having to remain plugged in in one spot
I would recommend this to a friend!

Seriously a must have

I purchased the hands free pump when it first launched and it has been amazing since day one! I have no issues whatsoever, very comfortable, reliable and assembly is super easy. I mainly purchased this pump to have an alternative for when I returned to work besides my “pump in style”. However, I find myself using the hands free more. Sometimes I forget I have it on. Suction is perfect, cups are realistic and strong. You can’t go wrong with this hands free pump.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice and compact

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try the Freestyle Flex as I had never tried a Medela pump before. The pump itself is really compact and easy to toss in a purse or tote bag. I am a bit of a tech nerd, so was also excited to see it connected to an app. However, after trying it for a few weeks I was a little disappointed. Compared to my normal pump my output with this pump was just not as much. It doesn't have adjustments to the cycle speed outside of letdown mode, just the suction which I could turn all the way up with no issues. I liked the comfort fit flanges and appreciated it came with both 21 and 24mm. However, with the trends in pumping leaning towards totally hands-free devices - I was more hopefully that this would allow for more freedom than a regular pump. It does not, you are still connected with traditional flange/bottles and tubing. The main highlight here is the pump itself is small. This won't replace my main pump I use at work due to its performance but it's nice to use in the car on the go or as a backup option. Thank you to the Stellar Testing Panel for providing this item for me in exchange for my honest review.

Medela Does It Again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as a part of a Stellar Product Testing Panel. My honest opinion of this little beauty is it's as close to a hospital grade pump as you can get without the price tag. I exclusively pump and used Medela products only - Symphony, Sonata, and now Freestyle. It's definitely 100%s better than the Sonata with a suction that can get up there if you don't watch it. I was able to empty pumping on 3-5 minutes longer which is awesome and didn't see a dip in my supply which is AMAZING! You definitely can get up and move around the house which is great but with limitations. I was able to change diapers, fold laundry, and start on dinner while pumping. Y'all I couldn't have done that with any of my other pumps. OH and I could drive!! I started pumping after daycare drop-off to save time and my mornings are so much better. I work from home so it's super easy to get everything cleaned up after I return and stored but I feel like it would be just as easy if you were going into an office. We travelled after Thanksgiving and I was able to pump in the backseat the entire day while charging using my USB port. If you're thinking about exclusively pumping or just want to live your life while pumping this is definitely the one for you! I plan on pumping just a little longer now and that's a big deal.

Perfect for a New or Experienced Pumper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having been nursing or pumping for the better part of 3 years, I’m well-versed in the pumping experience. When looking for a reliable pump, I need one that is easy to use, portable, and battery-powered. It is also essential for my pump to have a closed system so when I inevitably absentmindedly bend over, milk doesn’t spill into the tubes and back into the pump. The Freestyle Flex is all of this and more. I love that the battery lasts long enough to pump several times, so I can throw my pump in my purse at the beginning of the day and not worry about lugging around a huge extra bag or power cord. I was stoked when I saw that the Flex Shields are included with the pump. I’ve been using these shields since they were released, and they are so much more comfortable. I’ve been using a hospital grade pump and the suction is comparable. I feel comfortable taking the hospital pump back and exclusively using the Freestyle Flex for all of my pumping needs. I highly recommend this pump to all breastfeeding moms, from the occasional to the exclusive pumper. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this pump. It has changed my pumping game.

Best pump out there!

I was given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I want to know where this pump was 8.5 years ago when I had my first baby! I am a labor and delivery nurse who is actively working on becoming a lactation counselor and I have 5.5 years of breastfeeding (over 4 years of pumping), between my 3 children. In those 4+ years I have used standard double electric pumps, hand pumps, hospital grade pumps, suction pumps as well as just collection cups. This pump is by far my favorite!
The best thing about this pump is its size; it is tiny and lightweight, while still doing the job of a full sized pump. Because of the size you can use it anywhere. This morning I wore the pump around my neck (comes with a string, that I attach to my necklace) while using my pumping bra; I was able to pump while I was making my kids breakfast.
I also love that this has a rechargeable battery, again letting you pump anywhere while doing anything. The battery has a pretty decent life, I would say at least the 2 hours of pumping it says. I love that the charger is a USB cord, because you can charge them anywhere, including the car.
The soft shields are wonderful, they are much more comfortable than the standard hard ones. The pieces are easy to take apart and clean. It also comes with nice stands for the bottles so they don’t tip over, which is a nice perk as well.
Overall pumping volume is pretty much the same as my standard double electric. While I have not noticed a huge difference in my output with this pump I have not noticed a decrease.
This pump also can Bluetooth connect to the MyMedela app on your phone. This app will allow you to track how often and how long you pump, you can then enter how much milk you were able to pump. The app also lets you track breastfeeding, diapers and sleep. I personally do not see a need for tracking pumping sessions but I do have friends who do track this, so this may be a nice feature for some.
Honestly the only thing I would change about this pump is making the string a little longer or some additional design so it can actually go around your neck (I will probably change this myself on mine).
