Great for Work

I received the Medela Freestyle Hands-free Double Electric Breast Pump from Stellar Product Testing Panel just in time to go back to work after maternity leave. I teach elementary school and during the times that there are no students in my classroom I often need to be walking around my classroom or in meetings. This pump allows me to do these parts of my job and pump at the same time. People hardly notice the pump! I have surprised many coworkers who will say, "Wait you're pumping right now?" They don't even realize I have the pump on and can't hear the sound of the pump. Many coworkers have commented what a game changer the pump would have been when they were pumping many years ago.
I was slightly concerned about how much milk I would get from such a small machine, but I had no reason to worry! With each pumping session I am happy to see how much milk I get. It collects in a cup that fits right into my bra and shirt. The milk is easy to pour into storage.
Finally, because of the size I am able to put the pump pieces into my cooler bag and then in the refrigerator in order to protect from bacterial growth. The pieces are easy to clean and dishwasher safe making my nighttime routine easier. I highly recommend this product, especially to anyone returning to work who hopes to continue breastfeeding.

Initially hesitant but now I love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was cautiously optimistic when I received this pump through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Handsfree sounded great but I really liked my traditional double electric pump and wondered if this one would be as effective and really that much more convenient.
Great news, this pump is fabulous! I find it to be nearly as effective as my standard double electric pump and it really is discreet and portable. The capacity of 5oz per side is occasionally too small for me and requires I pause and empty the cups before finishing, but in most scenarios the capacity is sufficient.
The pump cups fit in my regular underwire with molded cup nursing bras. While you can tell that I’m wearing it because all of a sudden my chest size grew several cups, it is subtle and could be missed if I were in the car or had a baggy jacket on. The pump itself fits easily in the pocket of a jacket or hip pocket of loose pants (not my tight jeans). The device is fairly quiet but definitely can be heard by those around.
I find myself reaching for this pump first now that I am back to work so that I can continue typing and making phone calls (you could hear the pump on my cellphone but not when I use a headset). Clean-up is also easier since each side has only 3 pieces. The cups have volume markings and easily pour from the top into storage bags. The display is easy to use and the settings are adjustable enough to get good output.
Overall, despite my initial hesitancy, I really like this pump and find it gives me back time in my day. Favorite of all is that it’s easier to pump while working because it no longer requires I stop work for 15-20 minutes each time and therefore I pump more regularly, keeping my supply up.

Great Hands Free Pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for letting me try out the new freestyle hands free double electric pump! One of my favorite things about this product is each pump shell is only made up of 3 pieces! This makes assembly and cleaning super easy, especially when on the go. I was able to pump using this pump while doing the dishes, folding laundry, at work and even driving in the car. While the pump shells are a bit larger and stick out further than some other hands free pumps, the Medela freestyle is still fairly discreet. The pump could benefit from having longer tubing and a quieter motor, however the pump is very effective at removing milk like other hospital grade pumps do! The motor functions are easy to use and has a wide variety of options for stimulation and expression modes. It is definitely my go to pump whether I’m taking care of things around the house or rushing out the door for work or other events!

Discrete low profile pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The Medela breast pump was nice! The pump felt very high quality. I especially liked the light up buttons on the pump so I could pump in the evening. The hands free pump was pretty discrete. The inserts blended in with the shape of my breast. It’s also pretty quiet. I found that the pump wires were a bit annoying my clothes. But that’s a very minor complaint. Overall, I was very pleased with the pump. I was able to use it in the car on a long road trip and I was blown away by the battery life.

Medela quality with hands free convenience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pump is a game changer! Before this pump I was constantly tethered to an outlet, now I can be anywhere doing anything while pumping. The pump is completely discreet, you can even attach the pump itself to your pants while around the house. This has made breastfeeding more manageable for me as I'm able to multitask while pumping. The pump has the power in the Medela product line to help get maximum breast milk. I can not recommend this product enough! I wish I had it with my first 2 children. Thanks to the stellar product panel for allowing me to review and test this product.

Great for on the go pumping

The cups making it very discreet so you can pump while in the store, restaurants, work, etc. My only critique is that the pump is not strong enough to be used as your main pump, so it is probably better suited for times when you’re not in your home. I received this product from Stellar Panel for an honest review.

Perfect for on the go

The suction was just as good as a pump you plug in, but allows you so much more freedom. I pumped walking through Disney World. I loved that I didn’t have to waste vacation time tied to an outlet. It is very easy to use, clean, and put back together. It didn’t take up a lot of diaper bag space either. There was absolutely no leaking while pump. The closure snaps with hard plastic, not rubber seals to ensure it always closes tightly. I would definitely recommend to people who have an on the go life style!

Freestyle Hands free Gives Freedom While Pumping

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am breastfeeding my second baby and have used a number of different types of breast pumps over the last few years. I was given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I am super pleased with the discreteness of the Medela Freestyle Hands-free Double Electric Breast Pump. If I put the tubing under my shirt, it was not very visible and I was able to do video conference calls without anyone knowing I was multi-tasking! I am big busted, probably a 36G right now, and I was able to put the cups right into my regular nursing bra without issue. Other than being discrete and not hooked to a wall, my favorite feature of the Freestyle Hands-free is how few parts there are and how easy it is to clean. It is probably the easiest to clean and put back together of any pump that I have used and it is at least the 5th or 6th pump that I have used so that is saying a lot. I found it easy to get the pump on and aligned, although I do wish the cups were a little clearer to be able to see better. I felt that my milk output with the Freestyle Hands-free was similar to other wearable pumps, which is a little less than what I get if I sit down with a standard pump. I think part of that is that I express more with "hands on" pumping, and the multi-tasking that wearable pumps allow and the shape that covers more of the breast isn't great for hands on pumping. Overall, the freedom the hands-free allows me is worth it to me as I have pretty high and stable supply. Overall, I would highly recommend for mamas looking for a bit more freedom while they pump.
