Pump last 5 months and died.!!

I purchased a pump in may of this year I believe and I’ve run into a number of issues with it since then. I purchased the Medela’s Freestyle Flex Double Electric Breast Pump. After 5 months of using it the pump would not hold a charge or work without being plugged in. Even with it being fully charged I couldn’t move around with it because it would just shut off and not come back on unless plugged up. I purchased this pump solely based on the fact that I could move freely around and still be able to pump. It has honestly been an extreme hassle and headache to pump with this product. The suction after awhile was extremely low and I could only pump one side at a time. Now it just died and isn’t holding charge even after doing a reset. I believe I was given a defective pump which is absolutely absurd being that the pump is extremely pricey just for it not to work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Portable but terrible suction

The first two weeks the pump worked great, but now the suction is very weak. I’ve tried troubleshooting, making sure all parts were connected, and flanges on properly. It started off great with expressing 6-9oz each session to now not evening pumping an ounce. I also have the pump in style max flow and was able to express milk as needed but I need something portable because I also have a toddler to chase after. Kinda feel as if I should have purchased the Maxi swing but lesson learned.
As far as battery life, it’s great. I am able to pump about 6 sessions for 20 mins.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I used to love up until the power source stopped

This was gifted to us by a family friend and I’ve used up until recently. It indicates that it’s charged with 2 bars of battery however it won’t turn on even though it’s lit and clearly charged. Disappointed and I start work in a couple of weeks so I’ve been working to build a stash for little one once I do and now I’m a little worried about how this can effect my production etc

The pump was amazing till it died!! I have a 3 week old baby and no pump. I have no option but to use formula. This is really upsetting.

Wealing around breast cups

We bought this model about a week ago thinking that this would be the best option for us when we started pumping we realize that milk was leaking from the cups and the back module we tried everything we could to keep the milk in the bottle unfortunately we continue to have issues with leaking around the seal and the nipple we have used Medela in the past for our first pregnancy and we didn't have any issues it seems like the new products now are not as good as they used to be.

Freestyle Hands Free Double Electric Breast Pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Medela Freestyle Hands Free Double Electric Breast Pump through Stellar Product Testing Panel. I’ve tried a number of pumps between my two babies and definitely found this freestyle hands free double pump to be the best of all. It’s compact, lightweight, discrete and quiet. I love that I can easily take it with me anywhere in my purse. It’s fits comfortably and discreetly in all my nursing bras. It’s efficient in extracting milk within a short period of time. I found the suction settings to be strong enough and was able to store up a good freezer stash within a short period of time with the help of this pump. It’s easy to wash and it’s perfect for travels (taking it on trips & flights).

Comfortable Freestyle Flex Pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I breastfed and pumped for my first kid and now am doing the same for my second baby. I have used many breast pumps, as I am always on the look out for a product to help with my journey in providing breastmilk for my baby and balancing being a mom and a having a career.
Qualities of a good pump that I was looking for that Freestyle Flex Pump has:
1. Efficient - able to actually pump milk in a short period of time. The Freestyle emptied my milk but was not as efficient as other pumps.

2. Comfort - very comfortable, the new design of flex silicone flanges are a great idea, makes it easily adaptable to many breast shapes, and doesn't leave an imprint like some other flanges.
3. Portability - small pump able to move around easily, I would say still a handful in size, would still sag your pants if you clip it on.
4. Easy to clean - 4 parts including bottle, which is on par with other pumps
5. Easy to charge - Since it has a USB charger can even bring a portable charger to charge the pump.
Qualities that I would like in a pump that Freestyle does't allow me to do:
1. Noise Level - Loud pumping noise, and the pump vibrates while it pumps

2. Public pumping - I could pump at home and walk around with it but would not be able to pump in public as you still need a special handsfree bra where your nipples will still show through. The bottle and flange still stick out and take up a good amount of room.
3. Set up time includes putting on a handsfree bra, lifting whole shirt up, placing flanges in and then pumping, and taking handsfree bra and switching to another bra. This process needs to be streamlined.
My ideal pump would allow me slip the pump into my current bra and pump under my shirt covered. I would like to be able to pump in public/at work/going to a movie theater/ out at dinner or lunch with my coworkers because I don't want to be hiding in a room/car or I am running after my toddler so I can't be tied down to a wall.
The Freestyle Flex Pump has most of the qualities that I am looking for but honestly there are other pumps that surpass it (even another pump from this same company). I was honestly hoping that there would be a cordless pump that I could pump in public that fits in my bra.
I was given this pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This is my honest opinion as I hope this helps other mom's find the pump that fits them best.
