Portable breast pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Medela freestyle flex pump is a great hands free and portable breast pump that allows you freedom to move while pumping. It is battery operated, charges via USB, and fits in the palm of your hand or pocket which allows you to pump on the go or take care of your children and housework with use of a hands free bra. I really liked that the pump is a closed system and only has a few parts that require washing (connector, membrane, and flange). All are able to be washed in the dishwasher which makes for easy clean up. The suction is gentle and the pump is very quiet compared to others I have used. The connectors are also angled which allows you to sit back and relax more than traditional connectors. I had good output with this pump which was comparable to my traditional pump that required an outlet.
I did notice that the touch screen of the pump is very sensitive. When I placed the pump in my pocket, it changes the settings easily. I wish there was a way to lock the screen during use. I also wish there was a clip on the pump to attach to the outside of a pocket or belt to make it easier to carry. There is a strap, but I would prefer a clip. I also wish the pump saved your settings instead of having to turn the pump intensity up every time. This would make it quicker to change from let down mode and free up your hands faster.

Overall, I really like this pump and would recommend it for anyone who needs a more portable breast pump option. I received this pump as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, but all opinions are my own.

Genius pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Medela Freestyle Flex Pump through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This pump is absolutely amazing. The small size is perfect for pumping on the go, at work, even at home. I can easily pump with my daughter sitting next to me. The USB charger is very fast and super convenient. I can easily pump while doing other things like playing with my daughter or cleaning up around the house. It's also easy to pump at night. The pump is very quiet and takes up no space.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My new favorite pump!

A little background, I exclusively pump for my 8 mo old. I am a working mom and frequently pump in the car, in my office and at home. While at home, I have two other toddlers who need constant attention. The Freestyle Flex Pump was a lifesaver as it has allowed me to pump with ease and not be tied down by a power cord so I can attend to my other children. The pump is SO QUIET guests don’t even know I am pumping. It is so compact and easy to throw in my work bag and go. The closed loop system was another one of my favorite features- if I get distracted and pump too long/much, back flow milk cannot get into the pumping apparatus and cause molding etc which can be common in other open loop systems. Due to this closed loop system, there are more parts to wash (diaphragm etc) but the slight extra work is definitely worth it in my mind. I am beyond happy with the Freestyle Flex Pump and am more impressed the more I use it!

Great pump, in line with competition

The pump itself works great. Comfortable (for my wife) and incredibly easy to travel with. The attachment pieces didn't cause major indentations in the breast skin which has happened with other pumps. Overall the pump is great: if it's in your price range, you don't need to purchase a more expensive product as this one is very comparable to more expensive models. The only thing I didn't like about this was the color of the pump, but all other functionality before as good or better than expected.

Perfect pump for at work or on the go!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Freestyle Flex pump is the perfect pump for work because it is so lightweight compared to other electric pumps. It is also very small in size so can easily carry in your purse or pumping bag. The USB charger cable is also a nice touch for the office working moms who can easily use it at their desk to charge up their pump. The pump was very simple to use and I loved the sleek screen on the pump. It is very user friendly and easy to use the push buttons while pumping to increase suction or change modes. The pump was a life saver for me since I’m always pumping on the go and it is not practical for me to lug a larger size pump with me everywhere. I also loved the option of using with a hands free bra to give me the freedom to pump while I eat lunch or even while I’m working. Overall it is an efficient pump despite it’s small size and is a perfect solution for the mom on the go. I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

HANDS FREE IS A MUST!!

I love that it’s hand free and much more quieter. I pump at work and sometimes when I’m out. The tote bag is large enough to carry everything and doesn’t scream breast pump bag! The timer comes in handy when I’m trying to distract myself and pump. If you’re a first time momma you will need to practice a few times but like everything else, it will get easier!

Great breast pump for traveling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Medela Freestyle Flex pump is a great mini breast pump that I received as part of the Stellar product testing panel. I love the compact design, which makes it easy for travel and taking to work. It's small design does not limit it's pumping capability for the most part, but I did notice that if I used the pump right after washing (read: filter still damp) it did not produce enough power to pump. I liked the silicone around the flanges, but felt that the pump should come with a larger size flange for larger breasted women. It did come with two sizes though, so it would probably work well for most women.
It was great on our road trip during thanksgiving as it allowed me to feed my son on the road and not have to pull over to nurse several times throughout the day.
I would definitely recommend this pump to friends, coworkers and other nursing moms.

Powerful portable pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this pump for free from the Stellar testing panel. I really love this pump and wish I had had it earlier in my breastfeeding journey. This pump has made it way easier to pump in the car because it’s less cumbersome and I have even pumped on the treadmill while walking! Talk about multitasking! The pump is surprisingly powerful for how small it is and I’m always shocked how long it will hold a charge. It’s more than enough for almost all my travel needs.
