[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first thought upon the arrival of my new freestyle flex electric breast pump that I received from stellar product testing panel to review was wow this looks interesting. I couldn't wait to give it try! My days are filled with busy schedules and a hungry baby, so I gave it a try! It was so easy to use and very comfortable. I was able to complete my normal day to day tasks and my favorite thing about it was being able to easily take it with me on the go!. Thank you so much stellar testing panel for giving me the opportunity to review such a wonderful product!

Portable, fit-in-your-pocket pump!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Freestyle Flex Pump is small enough to fit in a jacket or sweater pocket, but not your jeans. You could hang it on a lanyard around your neck or maybe put a clip on it and clip it to your belt. Regardless - it's extremely portable! You can take it in the car with ease (fits in a cupholder!).
You can use it as a single or double pump. A hands free bra is a must-have, as it will make it even more hands free! This is a closed system pump, too, which is great - less things to constantly wash and replace immediately.
The one thing I was nervous about was suction. I've had other pumps, some hospitals grade, but the FF was quite strong. Maybe not as strong as others I've had, but it was in no way weak either.
Getting used to the touchscreen was hard at first, but a quick look at the manual set me straight. Connecting to Bluetooth took some finesse, but once I figure it out, it was easy after that. Instead of holding the button as though you're shutting it off, you have to gently hold it down at a slight angle so it doesn't shut off. Also the lighting means you use in the dark with ease!
It was great to be able to use it with the app, too. It knows how long you pumped for; you enter the ounces you got manually.
It charged with a USB charger, which was quite handy. It wasn't the same as my phone, but it might be the same as other phones, and if so, that's even handier! It lasts about 4 hours once charged, depending on how frequently you pump.
The only negative thing I have to say is that I didn't love the flanges. They do have a nice design, more oval shape, but they were surprisingly not as flexible as I had originally anticipated. They had a thing strip of rubber padding around the edge, which is nice, but it made me think they might flex a little. They do not. However - it would be easy to adapt other side and type flanges to this pump. It came was 21mm and 27mm.
Another thing to add - this packaging came with an amazing cooler with four bottles and a uniquely shaped cooler pack, as well as a diaper bag with lots of pockets and storage space. Those bonuses made me jump for joy!!
I received this as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, to give feedback on the product before release. Overall I would say it's an amazing product and I am glad companies re listening to our feedback about giving us powerful but portable pumps!

A Gentle On-the-Go Pump

I am thoroughly enjoying the Freestyle Flex pump! As someone on the go between work and weekend activities, I found it to be very compact and easy to stick in my purse. I love the delay start to make adjustments to the flanges and it was more gentle feeling than other pumps I've used. It was so gentle that I was actually worried that I wouldnt produce milk but I produce an ounce more than I usually do with my old pump. I also liked that it comes with a milk bag and freeze pack for storage. I didn't try the app which you can use to track your milk output to your phone (not my thing), but I think it's a cool additional feature that others would enjoy. Thanks to the stellar panel for letting me try this awesome new pump!

Game Changer!

I cannot say enough good things about the Medela Freestyle Pump. I am grateful that the Stellar Product Testing Panel gave me the opportunity to test it. It is so well thought out. It is excellent quality, works extremely well, takes a lot of stress out of pumping and really helps to make the entire process easier. The pump is hands free, which is amazing for using at work and in the car and doing things around the house WHILE PUMPING!! The USB charger is a great part of the pump as well. One of my favorite features is the time display. I do not have to worry about watching the clock. The pump beeps at 15 minutes to let me know how long I have been pumping. It also links to the ap if you download it on your phone. This is very helpful for tracking sessions and quantity. Even the carrying bag and cooler with ice pack is well thought out. It is not an ugly pump bag. It is very nice with great storage options. The pump itself is very small which is awesome! I also appreciated how easy everything was to take apart to clean. It was much easier than other pumps I have used. Overall I have nothing but great things to say about this pump. It completely changed attitude about pumping. I am 7 months in and starting to get tired of it but using this completely refreshed my attitude!

5 Star Compact Handsfree Pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the Medela Freeatyle Flex Pump. It is lightweight, compact, easy to use and can be completely hands free. It is portable with a rechargeable battery that does not require to be plugged in when using which is great when traveling or multitasking around the house. I am able to attend to my baby and toddler, wash dishes and do much more all while pumping with the Freestyle Flex. I love how compact it is and doesn’t take up much room in a purse or diaper bag. I do wish it has a clip on the back to be able to clip it to a piece of clothing if I don’t have any pockets to put it in. I also wish the end of the flanges were longer. I like being able to see if I am still having a let down but with the flanges provided the nipples are partially covered by parts. All the parts are easy to assemble and clean. The pump is very quiet compared to any other pump I have used. I would highly recommend this pump to any mother. I received this pump from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Compact yet powerful travel pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the hands-down best travel pump out there. It is as effective as my larger, sturdy pumps but a quarter of the size and fits in my work bag rather than requiring an entire extra bag with pump parts. I appreciate that it starts on letdown mode automatically and then switches to pumping mode after 2 minutes if you don't push the button first. (I can't be the only one to forget to push the button and 8 minutes later still be on letdown mode, right?) One charge lasts a very long time (and you can charge via micro USB so one less cord to carry if you already have electronics that use that cable...) A winner all around. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this pump.

Useful and effective small pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is far overdue for companies to come up with smaller pumps that allow moms to do more while they pump and be more discrete. This pump is definitely a step in the right direction! It is small, easy to travel with, and charges with a USB cord. The pump is much more discrete than the huge flanges on most other pumps, and the pump itself is lighter and easier to carry around. I could walk around while pumping and it wasn't as obvious that I was pumping. It didn't feel quite as strong as the full-size pumps, but it would be great for travel or busy days. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this pump.
