Disconnects supplemental power a few seconds

Fail. And an expensive fail.
Almost never, ever provides supplemental power. Yet does so at completely random and announces so with a nice DING!! audible alert.
I have resorted to using a Goal Zero Venture 30 power puck to provide enough power to the Q3 headset to actually finish more than 1 round of Walkabout Mini Golf. But not enough for Demeo.
The strap itself is fine, and sturdier than the Q2 elite+battery strap. Ergonomics are good, and the weight distribution makes it a must-have item. But the bloody BATTERY still doesn't work. Just like on my Q2.
The first time I could forgive. But not 2 generations of elite battery straps in a row. Whoever your manufacturing partner is for this very important and PRICEY upgrade item...fire them. This is a non-issue with my integrated QPro variant. AND removes a heat source from the front of the unit by shifting all battery function to the rear of the unit. It just needed a soft top strap.

Oculus 3 external battery pack

This strap is uncomfortable and does not adjust a small as I would like. There are times that I have to push the head set up on my forehead for a moment and it does not stay as did the old strap on the Oculus 2. My grand children have small heads and it does not fit them well at all

It doesn't work most of the time

Sometimes it charges the headset. Most of the time it doesn't. Sometimes if I pull the usc-c out and put it back in, it starts working. Most of the time it doesn't. They say they're working on a fix. It's hard to have a lot of faith in them.

Has one major issue - otherwise amazing

The biggest issue is that if you turn off your Quest headset, you have to unplug the battery pack or the headset will drain it dry! Confirmed by Meta support here: https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/17p42ru/quest_3_stays_on_depletes_battery_advise_requested/k83eqfx/
That said I still love this thing. The headset is more comfortable with it on, the extra battery life is nice, and they also incorporate the battery % in the UI!

There is some sort of software glitch where it doesn't consistently report he battery in the UI.
