Hi there! If your Vitamix shut down while you were blending, it is likely it temporarily overheated. If this occurs, we recommend turning the power switch off for up to 45 minutes, allowing the machine to cool down or reset. To avoid overheating your machine in the future, be sure to ramp the machine up to the highest speed within five seconds of turning it on to activate the cooling fan in the motor. I got the new A3500 w/ the food processor. Although, they say at 17.5" it will fit under most cabinets, it BARELY fits. It was so heavy that it is hard to move back and forth. The cover barely fits under the cabinet. So, although, feasible, not ideal. Also, I was quite shocked how loud it was. The entire unit would shimmy across the countertop, like levitating. I live in a small townhome, so don't have a lot of room. And the Food Processor is again HUGE and a lot of parts. So you need storage space and a real reason to need this. I basically felt I bit off more than I can chew. The blender works great. But, the smoothie cup is so small, you can barely fit anything in it. So, just overall wasn't a good fit for me. I ended up going with the Blendtec and am thrilled. Much lighter and smaller, smoothie cup is great size, great accessories, much quieter and overall looks more modern. Yes, as all of the articles say. Vitamix blends the best. But, for the 10% or less difference between the Vitamix and Blendtec, for the regular person, I am willing to give up the miniscule difference for the overall package.

I keep pushing and pushing the buttons and they don't turn on or work right away it takes a lot to get them to come on. A bit frustrating.

Amazing and game changer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have one month since I started using my new "a3500 Gourmet SmartPrep Kitchen Sistem from the Vitamix brand". This blender is amazing, is a game changer. This sistem includes a high performance blender with a 64 oz pitcher and a 12 cups capacity food processor, a tamper, storage case for the blades and a recipe book and several different kind of slicers/blades that allows me to chop everything I need to do for my meal preps in a time down. Also I can prepare big batches of smoothies for my family of 5 in one time with this big pitcher instead of before in my previous blenders that I was making in two or tree batches. Without mention that this blender leave the smoothies very soft and creamy, without any pieces of fruit, vegetables, or whatever you put in. Is perfect for when you have picky eater's as everything is very good blended. Also is perfect to cook soups on it when you're in hurry as have the option for it. It is very versatil as have programs to make smoothies as I mentioned before, frozen drinks (one of my favorites) and dessert's, nut butters, kneaded dough, ground spices, pures for my little ones and much more. It have time program and you can do other things wille the A3500 gourmet SmartPrep Kitchen Sistem is working, also self cleaning program, just after each use half fill the pitcher with water and a little soap and press the button for self cleaning and after finishi just throw the water and rinse. Everything is dishwasher safe, and have the automatic shutoff. Is very easy to use, beautiful and looks great in my countertop.

Powerhouse game changer!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Powerful lifestyle game changer vitamix has so many great functions it’s the most useful system to have in your kitchen. I made a high calorie peanut butter shake and this machine blends the peanut to the perfect consistency with the almond milk. I also made peanut butter cookies and a Horchata Drink. This powerhouse has a sensor on it that detects when you’re using the food processor or blender. Each time I use it I am impressed an inspired to use it daily. Excited and looking forward to trying recipes from the beautiful catalog that came with it. The shaved ice will be my next thing to do. I am so happy to finally have a top of the line blender that has exceeded my expectations. I love it.

Santa brought me this package with all the accessories for Christmas last year. Absolutely amazing machine. I had a ninja previously, but the canister kept cracking. This machine is durable. I am in health care, and with a rigorous work schedule, do not have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen. The bundle has it all. I can make a weeks worth of food in a very short period of time. Although expensive, it is worth it. Get this ensemble. You will not be disappointed.
