I’ve been considering this purchase for years. When my kids wrecked our old blender, it was time to upgrade. I already had a food processor, but the appeal of having only a single base for blender/food processor prevailed. My close friend is now the proud owner of my former food processor and I couldn’t be happier with the gourmet system. I find the plastic used to be easier to clean than my prior products from other manufacturers. The blender is totally worth it. Love the smoothie setting, use it all the time. There is only one possible way to align the blender pitcher onto the base, so there’s no chance of us running into the issue that ruined my old blender.

This blender is fantastic! Chops up and purées veggies/seeds and such to where I don’t have to peel. I love that it self cleans. The food processor is wonderful at slicing. This has been a huge help in the kitchen for putting away our garden harvest for the year.
