Solid cooling so far - hoses detach easily

Don't have traditional windows so I had to install the hoses vertically on my balcony/patio door. The extenders don't reach all the way (~4 out of the needed 6 feet) but just blocked it off with cardboard. Hoses tend to detach easily which is really the only drawback. Haven't had to use it in 30+ degree celius weather so unsure if it'll hold up in an actual heatwave. Cools one room (bedroom) easily, but struggles to keep the whole condo (1 bedroom+bath) cool.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst installation

Performance wise, so far am so satisfied with it, however it's a bit noisy.
Installing the AC + window kit was a nightmare. The hoses are too short, the window kit is designed to be installed on one type of windows (horizontal or vertical). It's very limited and you'll have no choice but to put the AC on a stool or something so the hose reach the window or buy a longer one (extra cost in both cases). I had to cover part of the window with styrofoam since the window kit is either too short or too long.

Unfriendly installation kit

Not as advertised

Vent hoses are too short. 48” long, unit has to be 21” away from wall which leaves 27” from window to unit. This doesn’t include the bends in the hose needed for attaching them to the unit and the window attachment for venting. So your window needs to be less than 2’ above the floor. I currently have mine on a platform. Not easily portable in that configuration. Honeywell had no viable solutions.

I've had no issues with this unit. Pretty simple to set up and cools down our 500 sqft room decently and rather quickly.

Good AC unit

Quiet, easy setup. Worked with window config well (sliding).
Hose could be a bit longer but worked for me. Being able to control remotely is a big plus as I do shift work. Great unit overall and would recommend.

Nice machine, cools off the main floor very well. Like everyone else mentions, the window hose kit does not work well in vertical sliders. But a little insulation trim and duct tape go a long way, ha.
