LOUD when compressor turns off

First off, this air conditioner is easy to use and powerful enough to cool an entire apartment. That’s not the problem. The problem is how loud it is every time it reaches the desired temperature and and the compressor turns off. I had to turn it off because I can’t sleep through the loud thud sound it makes. Definitely not suitable for bedroom use. I expected more from a premium priced air conditioner, especially since my previous air conditioner (a budget brand) didn’t suffer from the same noise issues.

DO NOT BUY FOR VERTICAL WINDOWS

Installing this thing vertically has been a nightmare.
- Not enough window sealing stripping.
- Plastic does not extend long enough to support vertical installation. it comes with 3 sections, the horizontal install can use all three, but when doing vertical you can only use 2. You have to make your own panel. Good luck.
- Other AC units give you something to lock your window against the AC panels but this AC does not. So there is a lot of air leakage and the panels in the window eventually wiggle and fall out.
- The top tube cannot reach the unit from the window. The tube is 4 feet for those wondering. Which sounds like a lot but the hose is very thick and requires a lot of length to make bends.

Still sceptical though

Not the easiest AC unit to set up in the window panels. The hoses aren’t very long for a double hose unit either both hoses won’t reach on a stand sliding window. Only can attach one hose.
Try it and see since the temperature in 27 Celsius at the End of April. Certainly glad I got it on sale now I see it’s on even cheaper figures. Back for the price match I guess.

Cannot Switch Fahrenheit to Celcius

The AC appears to work fine, however it won’t change from Fahrenheit to Celcius either on the unit itself or the companion app. I have followed the directions in the manual, but that doesn’t work and the app has a setting for Celcius, but that doesn’t work either. I contacted support and they want me to shoot a bunch of pictures of the setup, including a video of me operating the buttons to show that switching units doesn’t work, which I find ridiculous and insulting. The first service rep told me that instead of trying to press the buttons simultaneously, I should try them at the same time - wow!

Can't connect the hose to the connector

Anyone have any idea how the hose is supposed to "thread" on to the connector? It's a Sunday. Honeywell is closed - there is no way this should be that difficult or time consuming. Tempted to take it back but it's too heavy to get down the stairs!! Can't really review the unit if I can't get the hose attached - so a one star

Vent hoses are difficult

The vent hoses are hard to thread on and they keep falling off. The ends have to thread onto a plate and when you try to line them up the other end comes undone and everything falls apart. The hoses are so short the unit needs to be up in the window for the hoses to reach. This unit is only an easy setup for the old vertical opening windows. If you have hinge type windows dont even bother trying. Plus side its very quiet and pumps out the cold like a champ

Couldn’t be happier with this air conditioning unit! Not only does it blow icy cold air, it also dehumidifies the room! It cooled down our living room within minutes!
