It brews fine and the look is great. It could be a bit hotter. It recently started beeping each time it brews and has an error code. We have made a request for replacement under warranty.....We really do not want another but they are sending one....Maybe we will like the new one and we can review it again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thermal carafe - not hot

The looks of it make you feel like you’ve purchased a quality item, but to be honest, its designed so that it doesn’t pour anything easily. Because of the lip design on the carafe one cannot pour out all of the contents Without turning it completely
upside down. And the coffee is lukewarm at best -

The reason for 4 stars is a couple times now in first week of use an E5 code has been displayed. Unable to identify E5 in manual as there are no troubleshooting pages.

Basic Coffee Maker, gets the job done!

Overall function is good, cheap plastic used on the lid design. Like 4 hour warming plate timer and ability to change warming plate temperature. I use #4 disposable filters for easy clean up.Brews a little loud. 10 cup capacity. Matches my other GE Slate color appliances.
