Outstanding oven.

First of all the build quality is absolutely fantastic. Every aspect is well made. I had the oven up to 850 degrees and the table beneath it was still cool to the touch.
Takes about 45 minutes to get it hot enough, and though I'm still working on perfecting pizzas I can tell you it puts a beautiful steak house sear on my steaks. JUst make sure you put the cast iron in when you start heating the oven.
If you're thinkig about it, go for it.

Beginner still figuring it out

Never had a pizza oven before, we’ve always made our pizzas on a stone in the oven. It takes some getting used to to, getting the temperature hot enough, remembering to turn the Izzy often, flouring the stone & peel enough so it doesn’t stick, etc. we’re still getting the hang of it but people tell us it’s takes a few failed pizzas to get the perfect pizza.

Chose the Karu 2 and pleased I also chose the gas burner. I have struggled to get the heat up using wood, but it is much easier to use with Gas.

We’ve been making homemade pizzas for over 30 years. The high heat and small footprint for heating bring our efforts (successes)to a whole new level. Actually, we’re quite thrilled and wondering why it took as 2 years to decide to get a pizza oven. We chose this Ooni after significant research and other available options.

Wish I knew pellets wouldn’t

Wish I knew pellets wouldn’t work great in my oven. The pellets fell through the grate so it was hard to keep it lit initially. The thermometer on the side of the oven is super helpful.

As Easy As It Gets!

The Katy 2 multi fuel is as easy as it gets to make amazing tasting pizzas at home. From unpacking and seeing the quality and practical design thinking that makes the product I knew this was a good purchase. Having now had the pleasure of using the oven multiple times it is soooo simple to use. I would suggest following the great videos available from the Ooni team as they take you through everything from setting up and using the oven to making a pizza. This oven is a revelation and already loved dearly by my household. Recommended without reservation.
