Best Pizza, Best Oven

By far the best oven on the market that makes the best pizzas. I've owned it now for a little over 3 months and have made 30+ pizzas with it. It makes pizzas that are by far better than any store bought or restaurant made pizzas I've had.

I’ve used another brand before and this blows that out of the water. It’s easy to start up, both Wood and Gas, Retains it’s heat very well and above all makes perfect pizza. In love with this bit kit. Now have my eyes on all of the extras which I think will make great additions. 10/10!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome oven, capable of making fantastic, pro-quality pizza. I primarily use it with the matching gas burner, but I like the option to use wood or charcoal to experiment with flavor and sustain different temperatures. The magnetic, glass door is much easier to use, and obviously to see through, than the metal version on the original Karu. The metal flame deflector at the top of the dome helps create a nice, rolling flame over the pizza. The deflector and the door together result in a more evenly heated stone and more even cooking on top of the pizza. This reduces the amount of rotation needed while cooking pizza which improves the browning and crispness of the bottom of the crust. The quality of the available gas burner is also much improved over the original Karu burner, with a better lighting system and more refined temperature control. It's super easy to attach or remove the burner, making it quick to switch fuels or to clean or repair the burner as needed.

Bought the Ooni Karu 12G as a 40th birthday gift from my wife. Made our first pizzas tonight using the gas burner as I felt it would be a nice ease into the outdoor pizza oven cooking experience and boy were we blown away by how easy this oven is to cook pizzas. The top cooked perfectly while the hot stone crisped and cooked the pizza from the bottom. Don’t hesitate to get this oven as it is very high quality and should last. Decided to go the 12” oven route over the 16” ovens due to portability. We like to camp and don’t have a secure place to store the oven outside regularly at home so the 12” with the carry bag was the right option for us to move it around. Looking forward to years of making fabulous pizzas and entertaining the kids and guest in the future. Make sure you preheat the oven and stone before launching the pizza. My first one was just barely done on the underside but the second go was perfect after a longer preheat was established. I also recommend the turning peel as it makes turning the pizza within the oven a breeze! Next cook may be on wood to compare the difference between it and gas.

The oven itself is excellent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The oven itself is excellent was slightly disappointed with the time it took for it to get to temperature. Using briquettes took almost 2 hrs however much better with Gas and Wood.

Great pizza oven so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Ooni Karu 12G since October 2023, my previous one had to be sent back due to rust and the top log entry hole having a loose metal sleeve. I have made some lovely pizzas so far in both of them. It’s sometimes hard to get the temperature up to really hot which is red on the gage and sometimes the pizza sticks to the peel when trying to put it into the oven but most of the time I get it right. I have used the oven on a weekly basis over the winter. Lovely pizzas and great bit of kit.

Fantastic upgrade from my 7

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic upgrade from my 7 year old 2nd generation pellet fired Uni oven. This new Ooni Karu 12 exceeded my expectations. In my old oven the first pizza was always like the first pancake, not the best. But with the Karu 12 you’re able to make pizza perfection on the first go. I highly recommend getting the box of wood chunks from their website. They were so easy to use and fit perfectly in the fire box. I love this oven!
