Not very practical

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously owned a Ooni koda 12 and this was replaced for a karu12G because the flame melted the regulation knob in my koda.
The Door of this new oven is not very practical, you need to open the door for each turn, also the gas burner on this new one is completely different, the flame looks weaker although it gets hot. I still need to get use to this one, but im missing my old Koda12.

If you like black pizza and a lot of cleaning that’s your oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think it is impossible as a rookie to make a decent pizza with this oven. To launch the pizza is tricky and I can guarantee that there will be a lot of burn on the stone from toppings tumbling off your pizza. That causes that the pizza will be black underneath and will taste bitter. There is not a lot of room to maneuver and once a topping fell off you can’t retrieve it and prevent it from getting burned. It is also impossible once the stone is burned to clean it. To just flip it and have a new clean stone after the next round is not true. Once the stone is burned it is impossible to remove the burns from the surface.
To produce a decent pizza takes a long time and several tries and I not talking 5 or 10 tries more like 20-30. there is a lot of cleaning involved and if you use propane a lot of this too (for pre heating).
I would not buy it again. I don’t know if there are better models on the market but this one is not worth the money. The 12“ is just super tiny and the 16“ is too expensive.
