[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using for a few weeks. Wish it came with more info or tutorials about use. The induction is new to me. I Have not found too much on the Kitchenaid site either. Maybe I don't know where to look.

Oven Temperature
on November 4, 2024

Love the range is Kitchen-aid quality. Oven is a puzzling. After 20 minutes did not reach 350 degrees. Oven thermometer set in side center reported 300 degrees both baking and convection. Moved temperature up to 475 degrees and got closer to 450 after and other 15 minutes. Looking for help.

Range failure

Had this range for less than 2 years before the cooktop stopped working. The repair is almost half as much as a new oven. I cannot afford to and would not buy a kitchen aid range again.

Mostly good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this range for a few weeks now, and have put it through its paces. Starting off with the good: This thing heats up fast and the oven stays hot. The cooktop will absolutely boil a quart of water in well under a minute, and a pasta pot only takes a few minutes to reach a rolling boil. The oven doesn't overshoot the temperature either, so it's safe to put things in before it's preheated. The roll out rack is a literal backsaver too.
On to the just okay: The air fry isn't nearly as fast or well controlled as my parent's Ninja counter top unit. It works well enough, but it takes a long time to preheat. The automatic settings on the cooktop are very pan dependent too, the boil tends to maintain a low, steady boil but the simmer setting is near useless. The easy recipe menu for the convection settings is cumbersome abs you have to wait for slow scrolling text on the single line display to know how to set it up. With such a big area dedicated to the oven controls, it seems kind of cheap that we're stuck with a single line of text.
And finally the bad: The self clean is just bad. It doesn't actually own loosen up any soil on the bottom of the oven any more than soaking in water does. And forget any splatters on the walls or door. The touch controls on the cooktop are finicky, but even worse, the range makes an awful screeching warning noise if you even momentarily put something metallic on top of them. I've never one been glad it alerted me that I put a pan in the stovetop.
In sum, love the cooktop speed and control of heat, like the oven, but there are a couple of annoyances I'll live with.

Nice range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy with the new range. The induction cooktop and convection oven are new to me. I am learning how to use them, and it has been fun. Some minor issues - 1) My old KitchenAid had a black and gray speckled cooktop. The new all-black cooktop shows more dirt. Easy to clean up but I must keep after it. Perhaps the all-black is more "neutral" to go better with countertops. 2) About the controls - I have fingers which don't interact well with the controls. Sometimes I must try three or four times before I get a response. Also, I often use "Boost" for my teapot but it is small and hard to read the control for something I use every day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very good induction / convection oven. The electronic temperature control is not particularily user friendly, and the opening handle for the low compartment is great to knock your ankle on. Overall pretty satisfied.

Mystery to operate
on November 19, 2024

Just received my new induction range today, very excited...but found the manual wanting. Also searched the website. Very little to nothing published in the way of instruction on operating the burners on the top of the range. Checked out the manual and the Product Guide, which are apparently the same thing, but found no guidance. I can make it work, but some of the electronic controls are a mystery (i.e. the melt/boil wording next to the front burner controls -- don't see how these are activated, can't find any instructions pertaining thereto.)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like my new stove. I do wonder why one of my elements makes such a loud noise. Not all the elements are noisy.
