Great product for the price / installation sucks

Design Fail - bolt locations need to be fixed

I’m in the middle of installing it, and so frustrated that in this moment, want to give it negative stars. The holes for the bolts to attach to an upper cabinet are too close to the edges. I’m currently cutting out notches in the sides of my cabinets just so I can get those bolts in. Glad they aren’t new cabinets, or this microwave would be returned.

Huge improvement over the countertop unit .

I read that others who bought this unit thought it looked out of place . For us it fit perfect . We have an older house with kitchen cabinets that go to the ceiling . The space above the stove was unused and now we have counter space .
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cooks well. The control settings poorly designed.

It heats up food well. Very poorly designed control panel. 1) the shade of the font used for the settings is not bright enough to read unless the ambient light in the room is bright; we like to use the timer even when we're not microwaving, as a kitchen timer. The control for the timer is arrayed among the seldom-used controls such as "popcorn", "snack", and the like. We cannot figure out the "Settings" control at all. Owners manual is worthless, but that may be due to governmental safety regulations and not GE's fault.

It’s just okay for the money. The thing to keep in mind is that this unit is significantly deeper than normal microwaves.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Narrow microwave

Very easy to use. The instruction template could be easier to use as the cut lines were not as clear so hole drills were slightly off.
It is very narrow so heating things like the rice packs wont sit upright.
