I originally bought this microwave due to its slim and sleek design. I loved the way it came out after self installation. I highly recommend anyone to get this microwave.

We had ge microwave installed on 26 June and we have had a service call to replace parts (which need to be ordered). also, we cannot read the front of the microwave. We have to use a flashlight to shine on the front to read. the only thing lit up is the time

Watch for the left hook.

Since it was the only short or small above stove microwave, I didn’t realize the doorwas full width. This replaced an exhaust hood. Would be better if door was narrower as when your at the stove, I feel like I need to dodge it like a boxer dodging a left haymaker. Other than that great microwave.

GE Slimline Microwave

I love this slimline microwave. It has many preset options and takes up less room. It's sharp looking and since it has a smaller footprint my cabinet over the microwave could have an additional shelf. This does what I need it to do.

Slim Design

Slim design was our target. The door is long and you need to be aware when opening. The buttons do not light up for ease of use. Otherwise it fits our need.

The door does extend 29 5/8" from the front of the microwave. We will pass your feedback along regarding the controls that do not light up.

Ventilation

The ventilation is about a zero. I have it vented to the outside and food smells fill the house for everything that takes more than 5 minutes to cook. The timing of the presets for cooking is too long/powerful and same with the sensors. Looks nice but no I do not recommend.

To improve the odors from cooking, we recommend checking to ensure the charcoal filter is in good condition and doesn't need to be replaced.
