So far so good took about 3 hours and trip to hardware for water adapter to install. Runs pretty quietly.

Poor rack design

This dishwasher cleans well, however, the design of racks is NOT condusive to efficiently loading a dishwasher. Cereal bowls slide out of where I have tried to put them on the top shelf. The prongs for the bottom shelf are also poorly designed, at least for my square plates. The smaller plates slide out, and the larger plates can only fit in a few slots because of indentation of slots.
The 3rd rack is handy, but, I'd rather be able to raise the top rack so that I can fit taller items in the bottom rack. The cups also slide around. Just VERY poor engineering. My previous dishwasher had a much better design. I do NOT recommend this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not dry the dishes well at all and the soap dispenser only opens 1/4 of the time you run it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love how quiet it is

We replaced our old GE dishwasher when we noticed the racks had started to rust. The old unit came with our new construction home. I love how much quieter this one is. I also love the extra rack for those odd utensils that never fit anywhere. I also like that the top rack is adjustable, this is great for the big water bottles we have. My only complaint so far would be for the amount of time it takes to wash the dishes stuff is always still wet.

Good dishwasher, bad owners guide

My husband and I just installed this dishwasher, and we have really high hopes for it. It looks good and appears to be of good design and construction.
Unfortunately, the Owner's Guide & Installation Instructions that came with it, are terrible. Additionally, when I looked up the instruction online, they are different. The online version of 49-4000287 rev 1 has a different table of contents than the printed 49-4000287 rev1 that came in my machine. When I noticed that, I decided to go with the version that came with the machine, and that may have been a mistake.
The printed version of the installation guide has the steps out of order. They have you push it in, and attach it to the cabinet before leveling it or connecting it to the water, drain and power. At the very least, you are going to need to level it BEFORE you push it into place.
