Amazing product! Does what it's supposed to!!

I've had bad luck with dishwashers- until now! I had a top of the line model in the '90s that couldnt work right after the dishwashing soap changed. It was fast and powerful, but loud. Replaced that in succession with two very wimpy energy star rated models that were worse. They would seemingly mist water vapor on dirty dishes over 3-4 hours and still couldnt clean very well. Well with this GE, my 25 year search is over! This model is super quiet, and cleans! The silverware blasters are awesome. Bottle washers come in handy for big water bottles. Theres a top rack for those implements you never know what to do with. Theres a sanitization cycle that along with the bottle jets will add time to the complete cycle, but the end product of 100% clean and spot free sanitized dishes is well worth it. The sanitize cycle uses an internal heater to hold the temp at 130-140º to kill bacteria if I recall, so that's why it adds so much extra time. There is an option for a 1 hour simple cycle without the extra cycles. The decibel level is low enough that you can barely hear the thing running when it's on. The pirahna feature is a must have if you've ever had to clean out a clogged dw drain (ewww)! This's got some hi tech features that can bring up the water temp if your water isn't hot out of the tap, and it will adjust a cycle length by detecting the amount of debris in the water. I was also impressed with the top rack's cleaning after putting in a couple of spatulas from a mac & cheese dinner- got them shiny clean. Overall, 100% satisfied with this model!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

We’ve had the dishwasher for 3 weeks now. It cleans well, it’s very quiet, and looks nice in the kitchen. My complaints are that the 3rd rack is just too shallow to be used effectively. Only my 1/4 cup measuring cup will fit, the other measuring cups are too tall. I have very few things that work on the shelf, so it’s not as used as I expected. The middle rack, what I’d call the cup rack, the spacing is too narrow for average coffee cups and anything but my drinking glasses. I really have to think about where I place things and often run out of useable space.

Do Not Buy GE

GE has quite the racket. Part # WD19X25700 - The problem is that it is a 3 inch, elbow shaped hose. It lasts less than 24 months. You can’t replace it. You have to replace the entire pump and assembly. To do so, you have to gut the dishwasher, inside the machine and underneath it as well. And when you try to do that, there are 2 other shoddily made parts that are at risk of damage. GOOD LUCK!

So many glitches

I dislike this dishwasher with a passion. If you so much as breathe next to it it randomly turns on. Now when I try to turn it on it just beeps and turns itself off. I’m not sure how to troubleshoot it either, but at this point I dislike it so much. No appliance has ever given me so much trouble.

Well my opinion is not too great right now. Ran 2 cycles and everything was fine. The third load the failure to drain alert came on and two people have looked at it and cannot figure it out. Hoping it’s figured out soon.

We understand your frustration. The dishwasher may fail to drain as a result of a clog in a drain air gap or disposer, if you have either in your home, they should be checked for a blockage. We also recommend checking to ensure the routing of your drain hose matches the Installation Instructions. If the issue persists, we recommend calling Bodewell, our authorized service team directly at 1-833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET to have your dishwasher evaluated and repaired as needed.

Quiet. Dislike top control. Doesn't completely dry
on December 21, 2024

Just ok. Looks nice & runs quiet, but dishes not completely dry. Worse, I wish I had realized earlier that it was a top control model (which to me is impractical) because it's extremely difficult to get to it even see the controls because it's under the counter. sunder a counter and to get to and see cycle controls. My fault for not reading more closely. Haven't had a dishwasher in over 2 years, and was hoping for better, but this is better than nothing.
