Great machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this dishwasher after our old dishwasher of 15+ years, another GE product, started having electrical/control issues. After a few months of use, I am very satisfied with our purchase.
PROS: Quiet, easy to use, fantastic cleaning. I especially like the options such as the bottle washing, the extra jets under the silverware container, top shelf rack, and adjustable second shelf rack height.
CONS: Prolonged cycle times. Capacity seems smaller, but still adequate. Also, our machine came with a faulty second rack that would not pull out the entire way. Covered by warranty and replaced, but still a hassle.
Energy use seems improved. Installation looks like it would be somewhat difficult as a DIY, but we opted to have it professionally installed. The installer was very professional and answered all of our questions. Only downside on that is perhaps he should have caught the second level rack issue, but then again, I should have checked more closely when he gave me the opportunity to do so.
I would buy again, and had I not had the faulty part on the new machine, this would be a 4.5 or even a 5.0 star review.

Low noise

I live in a small condo, so I am happy that the dishwasher runs very quietly. Unless I'm in the kitchen, I cannot hear it.

Many problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Doesn't dry dishes very well. Door latch is fluky and hard to close - often have to try several times.
Door latch often fails partway through the cycle. Door doesn't seem waterproof - has water around edges when opening. So far I like my old (GE) dishwasher better.

In regard to the dishwasher's drying performance, you will need to ensure that the water entering the dishwasher is between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit for best wash and dry performance. Run the faucet closest to the dishwasher prior to starting the dishwasher to purge cold water from the hot water line. We also recommend using a rinse aid to help with the drying of dishware, as rinse aids prevent spots on glasses and promote drying by causing water to sheet off of dishware and glassware.

Excellent update to my kitchen
