Wow... fits right in my pocket. Can receive calls with it closed. It's fast! The screens are dynamite. Very happy with my purchase. Highly recommended.

I love the size but not great for extended use

I received my Flip 5 at the end of November and the screen already has burn out at the fold. This is actually my second Flip, I had the 3 before I bought the 5. The same thing happened with the 3 after about 6 months but after getting it repaired at a local shop under warranty, I didn't have any more issues with screen burn out for the next 16 months. I was hoping that with the new one being two models newer, this issue wouldn't happen or at least take more than a year and a lot of wear before it happened. However, this new one didn't even make it 3 months before the same issue happened. It also seems like Samsung has become much stricter on even their manufacturers warranties and I'll have green lines of screen burnout and slight screen flickering for at least a couple of weeks.
I love this phone a lot because it's compact but I still get a full sized smart phone when I need it. It just doesn't seem like it can stand up to even minimal wear and tear though. I don't have kids, no one uses my phone except for myself. I work a desk job so I have it in half folded mode for most of the day and unfolded for most of the rest. I probably open and close the phone less than 10 times a day. Maybe I just got a poorly made one this time but it's so disappointing.
If you're looking for a second phone and want this one for the novelty or you don't plan on folding/unfolding it almost ever, it's great! Otherwise, it may be best to stick with the S series of phones.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Long lasting battery

I have had this phone a couple of months and it is surprisingly turned out to be the best phone ever. The battery works amazing and last forever. It's just an overall great phone and made of what it exactly needs to be an excellent flip phone! I definitely recommend!!!!!

Front screen vs. battery

I went from the flip4 to this flip5. I am enjoying the the new exterior screen, especially when I receive a phone call and am able to answer it without opening my phone.
The thing that I am not happy about is the battery. The battery in my flip4 was a much better battery. With the new flip5 battery I have to recharge my phone twice a day in order for it to last any length of time. A third time if I plan to be out for several hours. Otherwise, I am pretty pleased with my new flip5 and all the extra things it can do with the front screen. Is it worth having a lesser battery? Not sure yet.

Running flip 5 for 6 months now, nice device. 1 would love to delete email on top flip screen, also would love when leaving modes phone would return to standard set settings

The best phone I've had yet, it gets small when needed to fit in my pocket. And I love that I can do all kinds of stuff from the smaller flex screen!
